Fantastic day, weather was sunny, food was nice and staff fabulous. Very professional. Barge was very comfortable and a lovely trip through delightful countryside. I would highly recommend this delightful cruise.
We did a three course lunch, with three hour cruise.
I have a gluten allergy, and felt they went one above I get in most restaurants, finding me gluten free bread and Yorkshire pudding.

Last Sunday we enjoyed a 90th birthday party with a 3 hour cruise aboard Romance. The boat itself is beautiful; spotlessly clean, inviting and surprisingly spacious inside. The cruise was just lovely. We had a meal of meat and potato or cheese pie and this was excellent. The two staff members who served us were friendly and professional; we were probably not the easiest group with 10 children but they took it all in their stride. All in all everybody thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon and I would highly recommend this company for either special occasions, or just a treat!
My brother & I arranged a surprise celebration for our parents golden wedding anniversary in March. We booked the private hire for 3 hrs and had a 3 course lunch for 21 of us. Everything from start to finish was just perfect, from making all arrangements prior to our event to everything on the day . The food was fantastic and the staff on board were wonderful , with nothing being too much trouble. Can’t thank them enough !

Throughly enjoyed today's cruise, been on other canal cruises with other companies and have been squashed on tables so they could fit as many people on and service has always been rushed, today's cruise was complete opposite, was pleasantly surprised to find we had a table to ourselves and had an excellent leisurely meal. Friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Highlight was going through the locks. Definitely book again.
On the recommendation of a friend we booked a 3 hour midweek cruise for 2 with a 3 course meal while on my annual holiday from work. Weather was kind and the boat was like a quality floating restaurant. The meal was excellent, the beef just melted in your mouth, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive and there was absolutely nothing to fault. Fabulous scenery along the way and the experience of travelling first down, then back up, through two locks, made this a a most relaxing, leisurely way to spend an afternoon. I would most definitely do it again.
Amazing day out and worth every penny. Food was amazing and the bar cheap to. Would recommend to anyone and we can’t wait to book another trip x
We had booked the Easter dine and cruise as a gift for my partner's Mum and she absolutely loved it. We all had a lovely, relaxing afternoon and were impressed by the professionalism - the girls up front were very smartly dressed in matching uniforms and the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Had a lovely tapas cruise . Food and the boat were brill and the staff were lovely. If i had 1 criticism it would be that it would have been nice to get a few dishes together instead of 1 at a time.

Attended a Cruise organised for my Aunts 25 Silver Weeding Party. A really good alternative event venue. Everything was perfect Great Cruise. Excellent food and lovely efficient staff. A great experience going up and down through the locks. I really recommend it 5 Stars for sure.
Surprise for my wife's birthday with the family which was excellent. We'll organised, we'll run. We all enjoyed it. The benchmark question is "would I recommend it to my family and friends?"' Answer: " already have."

Just back from a 3 hour Sunday afternoon cruise for my sister's 50th birthday. Excellent, couldn't fault a thing. Lovely food and staff looking for when we can get together for another one.
We have just been on an evening cruise with meal. There were 31 ladies. We had a great time, the meal was fabulous and the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend Canal Boat Cruises at Riley Green. We will be booking another one very soon! Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

It was 2019 when our sail & lunch was booked, owing to covid it was the 8th October 2021when we eventually had the experience . I must say we were very pleased with everything . All the staff were very polite , respectful ,friendly & pleasant . The barge diner was very clean & well set out. We had a three course pre booked lunch with soup, roast chicken / beef to follow with a choice of deserts . Wine , spirits , hot & cold drinks available to order . The whole meal was expertly cooked & presented everything was perfect a reflection of the skill of the catering staff and waitress attendance . The barge diner is equipped with a flushing toilet . Access onto the barge for very tall people may be a little awkward in order not to hit their head but that said just have to be a little careful. We were fortunate it was a sunny day so the views were that much better . The sail lasted around three hours sailing from the birthing mid point along the canal in both directions .

My partner and I have just spent 2 weeks onboard narrowboat Layla Boa. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly smiles and a welcome from Louis who showed us on board and gave us a thorough briefing as to the operations of the boat. We had ordered a grocery delivery which was a seamless process and once all our food was onboard we headed off in the direction of Leeds. The boat was both comfortable and easy to manage. Our first locks were undertaken first thing the following morning and once we got into a rhythm we enjoyed the process. We stopped off on the edges of Blackburn, Accrington, Gargrave, Skipton, Foulridge and Bingley and roughly the same on our return journey staying our last night on our mooring at Riley Green.
Both Louis and John were friendly and helpful in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed dealing with this family business and would highly recommend them to anybody who wished to have a holiday adventure.
"The Romance" - the restaurant barge. A really delightful way to spend a Sunday lunchtime gently drifting along the canal. The barge was very neatly laid out and the tables nicely set..... and the three course meal did not disappoint. With a small but well stocked bar to compliment your luncheon and attentive and pleasant service from two staff on board. Impressive that with 20 something on board and in the confines of a small galley, the meals were prepared by one chef... hats off to him.
The three hours return journey was scenic and serene.
Thank you to all the staff and crew for such a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

It was so lovely to be back on board Romance again yesterday. What an amazing job they have done with the refurbished interior, it looks like a different boat! We joined the tapas cruise and set sail on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. The food was excellent, the Spanish themed plates just kept coming all evening, we couldn't eat it all! Well done everyone involved in creating another wonderful experience. Thank you.

Our son had his reception aboard and it could not have been better! The food was amazing, drinks reasonably priced and the staff attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough! A fantastic day.
