Me & my husband love this place. Recommend it to everyone we meet. We always get a warm & friendly welcome, the husband gets a hand shake, & the staff are very polite and cannot do enough for you. The food is fantastic, michelin star style food if you ask me! It is such a beautiful quaint place inside & the newly refurbed outside & outdoor kitchen make it a desirable location during the summer months. If you are looking for cheap "pub grub" this place isn't for you, but you will get great gastro style pub food with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Group of6 on a Friday night, fires were roaring, staff attentive and always available, great atmosphere for us where the room is split so busy but never too loud! Great food and good drinks menu. Absolutely recommend, Love it here.
First time at this eatery. I ordered from the express meal but this meal did not come up short. The presentation was fantastic, the food was tasty and filling and the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely visit again.
Frequent visitors, we had yet another lovely meal on Friday night. Friends were visiting from Spain and also had a great time. A ‘birthday plate’ was presented to my husband along with sweets and truffles at the end of our meal. Staff very attentive as always. Thank you.
Lovely afternoon eating,drinking and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend the oysters, cockles and the scotch eggs on the sharing plates. BBQ was excellent. All fresh ingredients. Would definitely come back.
Such a wonderful surprise. We're not local. Were staying in the area and googled local pubs. Chose the Windmill for its proximity. Wow, what a dining experience. Beautifully thought out menu. Really good service and a lovely English pub setting. The food is superb. A little gem. If you are in the area I would recommend.
This was our first visit to The Windmill last night and we went for the steak night. The food was really lovely. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Really lovely venue, great service and a fab night. Will definitely go back and would highly recommend.

Came here yesterday with my family to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday. There were 16 of us, with the youngest being 18 months. I would like to say the food was lovely, the garden a delight and the service was superb. They couldn't do enough for us. Thankyou for making the day so lovely � we will def be back
Had a really good Sunday lunch here. Our granddaughters enjoyed the children's menu and play area. Pleasant and friendly staff.

Visited The Windmill whilst staying at a local hotel for an event. Had good reviews and the menu looked good.
This is a MUST VISIT place, food was excellent, all staff were engaging, accommodating and genuinely friendly.
We had a mixture of meat eaters and vegans and everyone was happy with the choices and dishes served.
The cocktails were on point and service was surprisingly quick.
Would highly recommend. What a gem!
A great little hotel,pub and restaurant, wd def stay here again. The rooms were all newly refurbished I think and we're really nice & well equipped. The restaurant food was really really good,great service. Helpful, friendly staff too. I do recommend a visit, if not to the hotel, then the restaurant
For starters, I would def recommend staying here, even if it is only for one night. Staff is very kind and polite. Breakfast is gooood, has vegetarian options and options outside of the typical English breakfast which is nice! Bed was amazing (soft instead of rockhard), it was honestly better than our own mattress, wouldn't mind knowing the brand. The outside space is wonderful, especially when you're lucky in the weather department and can eat your breakfast outside in the sun!
Raimonda, was extremely lovely we had the best customer service while eating in, she always had a smile and had the best attitude which made the atmosphere better. There was a problem with my rota dinner as I didn’t know the gravy was different, as soon as she realised she sorted this out straight away and got me a whole new dinner. She is an all round gem and the restaurant is lucky to have her as an employee. 10/10
Three of us had lunch today and chose from the set menu. We had three courses - there was a choice - the food was delicious and very well presented.

Reduced menu due to chef illness, but they rang and told me in advance. In fact there was no need as ample choices.

We came here for my birthday meal at the end of April. As its something on my bucket list we decided to eat dinner 'back to front' so we asked the staff of we could have our dessert first, and our starter last and despite being a strange request, the staff were more than happy to do it. We had the sticky toffee and the lemon tart to start - both delicious but the sticky toffee was one of the best we had ever had! We then had duck and sea bass for mains which was equally as delicious and then mussels and scallops to finish. The scallops were delicious but the mussels were very fishy so I'm not sure how fresh they were, but it was a Monday night so we guessed they may have just been the last of the batch from the weekend and the rest of the food was so amazing that we were happy to let that slide! The waitress was really friendly and they had the fire on as it was a rainy and windy night so it was a lovely cosy setting! We had a really lovely time! Would definitely visit again! Thank you!
We've been to The Windmill twice now over the last couple of months and it's been lovely. Great food and service, can definitely recommend the Wellington Wednesday!

The place is cosy with good vibes. The staff is really kind. Good location if you visit the Leeds castle to get a drink and dinner, but there is only limited time for a food service, I can recommend checking the website and booking a table before visiting.

We didn’t have any food this time, only had a few drinks. Very nice pub with a sunny beergarden. Very friendly staff. The pub looks very nice on the inside too. They have a very nice cider 🍺👍🏼 we will certainly go back in the future and will try their food too. The menu we saw looked very tempting. Would certainly recommend this pub.
We had a delicious meal with lovely service tonight. The confit duck leg with salad (and Pinot Noir) was superb!
