Amazing community shop! I was staying nearby and needed to stock up on supplies. I didn't have a car and was worried I might not be able to find all I needed and have to somehow go further afield. But I needn't have worried, there was everything you could possibly need for cooking. Lots of fruit and veg, tinned food, bread, biscuits etc. And some tasty local beers. The chap volunteering there was really friendly and we had a lovely chat which made the experience even better!

Lovely fresh wooden shed mini-supermarket. Old-fashioned country food, nice people and decent prices. And tea in the garden! Who could ask for more.

Lovely tea room. Enjoyed a traditional Devon Cream Tea. The 2 lads serving were very helpful and pleasant. Doggy friendly too!

Had a lovely lunch today. We arrived mid afternoon in the middle of winter and were pleased that they were open! Nice choice of food. Everyone was so friendly, customers and staff! We chatted with so many people. The dog would like to leave a 5 star review as well as he said the sausages are 'particularly scrummy here'.

Spotted the notice for the community shop and family run cafe on the road to Dartmeet by Newbridge so visited after a walk. Very welcoming. Door stop sandwiches with thick filling on the next table . We went for chorizo sausage roll with salad and a cream tea..2 scones.Both were good although only just enough cream and jam. Cafe has inside and outside seating and field views.

A Wonderful cafe. I've visited twice already as I'm staying nearby and have received a warm welcome. The menu is quite varied - and with vegan veggie and gluten free options. I have had the garlic mushroom jacket spud ( with a lovely side salad) twice as so yummy but also came away with GF lemon and blueberry cake yesterday as a takeaway for tea. The tea is also delicious and I'm likely to try one of their special coffees next visit. Check out the beautiful handpainted Dartmoor mural on their long wall if you visit too. It's very detailed and I love it. Plenty of space to feel covid safe, outdoor tables if wanted, and quick service ( though v popular and I can see why, so you may have to wait a few minutes during busy spells). Lots of homemade cake and scones to try too ( again GF on offer, marvelous for a small village cafe).

Really good place to set up , eat and relax. Lovely staff. I will back again and again!!@

Amazing place, amazing people, and amazing food! The location is perfect as you adventure in the outdoors and you are made to feel really welcome!

A nice friendly little shop and tea room, I had a toasted teacake followed by cream tea for one, nicely warmed scone but being a true Devonian I had to eat it sneakily as I prefer mine the Cornish way (jam first �), wouldn’t want to get in trouble with the food police �. Definitely added to my list if I’m over this way again, good job folks. �

Love this little place. We enjoyed both a sweet scone and a cheese one. Plenty of seating outside and inside, so easy to have the dogs with you. The shop is full of goodies and the obligatory ice creams. It’s great to see what a community can pull off!

Since this tea room opened have visited frequently as walk at Venford and area a lot. Have always found it to be excellent until recently. There seems to have been a change of personnel with the brilliant chef who gave super and personal service missing. Have given it two visits to give a fair assessment and the food certainly is not as good and no where near as well presented. Is a shame as has always been a place I enjoyed visiting.

Visited yesterday on our travels - its one of our very favourite spot. The usual excellent friendly service and wonderful tea and cake - gluten free brownie was spot on. A gem.

A lovely tearoom that does an amazing all day breakfast. The Community Shop is well stocked with locally sourced products. Volunteers,are really friendly and helpful. We are very lucky to have such a lovely village shop. We have only recently moved to the area. Thank you for making us,welcome

A treasure with lovely friendly staff, excellent food, a super shop stocking everything you might have run out of, all in all a marvellous example of a real community asset with a spirit rarely found nowadays.

Great spot for lunch, had a lovely bowl of soup and a sandwich. Just what we needed mid way through our bike ride across Dartmoor.

So friendly, great coffee and and super soups. Perfect for a wet afternoon when you want to be up on the moors but it's a bit too wild for your waterproofs.

I have visited several times and enjoy off peak times tremendously in the tearoom with great produce available in the shop. Sadly there are times we cannot find a seat when inclement weather....... makes us look forward to the next time when there is room!

Friendly staff with a warm welcome & scones to die for ( I tried so hard to get back for another ) Great for families, I'll be back.

Such a nearby supply of all the things I need! no extra miles to Ashburton or newton and lane hold ups!!! such a fun place to be too.
