Excellent and friendly service. Pat & Fiona are wonderful behind the bar, cheerful, happy and friendly. Always making people feel welcome. Tom always serves us at the carvery with a smile! As a regular weekly customer, he always remembers our meat order. I would highly recommend the establishment for good food and a fabulous friendly atmosphere .

Came here for lunch at the weekend. The staff were all polite and friendly, and service was fairly quick. I had a carvery calzone and my wife had the standard carvery. Both were fine, nothing special but decent for the price. The facilities were ok but there was a puddle under all the urinals. Wouldn't make a special trip but fine for a meal at a chain pub.

Sunday carvery is the best I’ve ever tasted, we’ve been a few times, only managed room for pudding once, best if you book your table as it gets very busy, lovely clean place, friendly staff, amazing food and not to expensive either.

The food was lovely, hot, cooked well. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks/tickets as we ordered online. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Annie, who even snapped a few photographs for us on our phone. Overall very satisfied with everything; we can’t wait to visit for Christmas Dinner!

Food is great, fully recommend. Lovely pub/restaurant. Only suggestion would be is, more staff should be available to serve behind the bar only usually 1 or 2 stafmembers ever on, this would be to reduce queues for ordering drinks or food. Food wise though, like I said Fully Recommend!!

Had the dirty Philly Cheese steak pizza today as there was no mash on the carvery. I would have been disappointed but the pizza was simply the best I've ever had in my life!! 5 Stars from me!!!!!

The food was what you would expect from a chain kind of pub. It was good value for money and we enjoyed 2 courses each for less than £15.00 each including a drink each. We chose off the main meal section instead of having a carvery. Would reccommend if your needing a half decent meal for a good price. Service was very slow but it did seem a busy day with lack of staff.

Had two meals here on consecutive days Saturday & Sunday, one a gammon & chips meal & the other a carvery. The gammon & chips meal on the Saturday was not up to much with the peas being cold & the chips having a lot of small hard bits. The carvery on the Sunday was better but the vegetables didn't include brocoli. I would still recommend the carvery & from the amount of people in the pub on the Sunday visit its popular with the locals.

Come here for breakfast staff was too busy round corner on phones and having conversations when finally got served, bacon was disgusting wasn't even warm sausages was burnt to a crisp yet still cold found egg she'll in my eggs that I was about feed my one year old tried tell staff after 10 mins not seein one is sight all could say is will tell them be more careful when they fry them wouldn't go again or recommend to anyone for the breakfast

The breakfast was lukewarm and we had to wait quite a while for fried eggs, bacon swimming in fat toaster took to long to toast the bread. Asked for a glass of water with ice and lemon told that you don't do lemon slices any more only limes if I had ordered a bitter lemon I would like a lemon slice not lime. Waited too long to get served at the breakfast bar. So really did not enjoy the experience will think twice about visiting The Jug and bottle again I do know all the pitfalls as I worked in the pub trade for 38 years you should try and give the customers or guests what they would like

After having a not so good meal, we informed the staff and they invited us back. And I have to say, the meal 100% better, the staff went completely out of their way to make sure everything was okay for us. Definitely would recommend anyone thinking about coming to try! I'd like to say a big thank you to Becky for looking after us and joyful, lovely waitress for us. ☺️

We booked Boxing Day this year at the Jug and Bottle for ten people and certainly wasn't disappointed. The service was fantastic, we weren't rushed, it wasn't too busy to spoil the enjoyment and I couldn't fault my meal in any way. We had a three course meal, I chose prawn cocktail for a starter, carvery for main and profiteroles for a dessert. Compliments to the chef and also to the waiter who couldn't have been more pleasant and was even dressed in the Christmas spirit. Would definitely recommend.

We visit often, have done so for a few years now. Good food, efficient friendly staff. However with the change to doing pizza comes the annoying bleepers to tell the whole place that table 21 pizza is ready. I noted they flash very brightly so surely vibrate n flash is all that should be needed. Minor moan though. Would recommend.

Visited this afternoon for the first time in a long while. We were welcomed at the door with a smile. Service was good and staff polite. My husband had a pizza and I had a carvery which we both enjoyed. The pizza arrived quickly and was hot, plenty of veg, salad etc to choose from and we even got a check back from the waiter , that doesn't always happen in other places. Good value for money, well done and thank you to all the staff . We will be visiting again very soon
