Had a lovely evening at Mustatd and Punch. Delicious Yorkshire black pudding starter followed by yummy hare and blue cheese risotto. Great food and good service. Will go back soon.
Well worth a visit had the early bird smoked salmon with home made picalily followed by pigs cheeks and mash which are gorgeous don't be out off by the description they are lumps of meat slow roasted and melt in the mouth. Also served with red cabbage. My wife had a tasty celeriac soup and salmon macaroni for main again another great combination of taste. Well worth a visit. 2 courses with 2 pints of beer £30 great value
Tasty food, good prices and nice atmosphere. We got a taster menu voucher from travelzoo. The food was tasty and the portions were bigger than normally at the tasting menus, but there were only six courses and I was a bit hungry after the meal. Some bread and butter would be a welcome addition. The other criticism is that all the meat served was a game - partridge and pheasant. If somebody doesn't like game meat than there is not much left to eat. I think it would be better to have one game and some beef or lamb.
I think it's much better choice too go there for a normal evening meal rather than the tasting menu.
Love this place! I'm going to do my best to gradually eat my way through their whole menu, because every single course I've had so far has been outstanding. I've always been just as eager to try whatever my partner ordered too. Would recommend the rack of lamb with seared spiced lamb's liver from their current menu.
I usually get a bit intimidated by anything that even verges on fine dining, but the staff are so friendly and atmosphere relaxed that I was immediately put at ease. Couldn't recommend this place more, other than to also recommend their sister restaurant, Punch Bar and Tapas.
Went Saturday night (a couple of weeks ago), had the 3 course early bird (2 people). Absolutely lovely food but the sticky toffee was a slight let down (a little over done).
Staff were fantastic. We were late for our booking and also had to be somewhere after. The staff were very accommodating and made sure we were served but not rushed. Fantastic. Would return but we do not live close by
Fantastic food. Real top quality gastro restaurant with well sized portions. We went for the set meal which was beautiful and very reasonable priced. Presentation was impeccable and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definatley eat there again!

Downstairs seating was OK but in a high-traffic area in close proximity to kitchen access.
Service was professional but slightly over the top (it was very strange to be continuously addressed in the third person).
It's not often you find little gems but Mustard & Punch is one of those gems. Food is modern, tasteful, well presented and not too pretentious. Menus is well balanced and definitely worth a visit.
The staff were very helpful and friendly!! Being a vegetarian, I questioned one of the ingredients which was parmesan in the vegetatian option, and the staff were quick to respond, saying that it was suitable after speaking to the chef. I do not believe that parmesan is vegetarian, and that it was added by mistake, OR they have an alternative type of cheese which they have labelled as parmesan.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the starter, however, I believe that is over preference than cooking. Especially as I was trying something new. The main was tasty, but the dessert was absolutely delicious and wonderful!!!
4 stars, my only critism is because they forgot our drinks and wasn't served until the main. Other than that, highly reccommend!!
Having been quite a good while since we sampled the faire at this establishment I am more than happy to conclude it still remains Excellent, Tasty & value for money food is a comfortable & modern setting with very helpful & friendly staff.
