Undoubtedly the best fish and chips I have ever had. Fresh as you like haddock in a nice thin crispy batter, golden slightly crisp tasty chips, homemade fish cake had nice chunks of fish and seasoned perfectly.
Not greasy at all.

1st time for fish, chips and peas cooked to perfection but I never give a 5 as I always feel it is as good as the produce is at that time new potatoes are always a bonus

This is the best value cod and chips for miles around. Also tried the spam fritters and sausages plus the Chinese curry sauce. Great food at great prices and wonderful polite service. Mermaid Fisheries is spotlessly clean. Prices are excellent. And everything was very well wrapped. Has the bonus of a park opposite where you can sit and enjoy your food. Lots of flower beds and bins for wrappers. Can highly reccommend Mermaid Fisheries.ten out of ten!

We had perfect cod fish cakes with a big portion of chips there's a seat along the window where you sit and wait for you order the staff are friendly and are always very busy
