The best tea room around! I love everything about tea island from the food + drink, unique design and the 5 star customer service. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing with the staff being warm and friendly. I will most definitely be returning and would highly recommend tea island to anyone that has not yet been!

There were 10 of us that came for a hen party on the 9th September 2017. We all had such a good time, the owner and her son Mario (xxx) were so helpful and accommodating, they couldn't do enough for us. The food and service were excellent and they sell the best Prosecco in town!!! We would highly recommend this tea room and will definitely be returning soon!!!!

We visited on the spur of the moment. Wow lovely surroundings very very friendly owner told us about the shop and what they offer etc. It can get very busy so best to book if for a special occasion. Have booked afternoon tea for end of November can't wait. Defo recommend.

Took my Mum here for a birthday afternoon tea. The place itself is very cosy and we loved the vintage feel and the bone china crockery. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful - the cakes in particular were fantastic. And all for a very reasonable price!!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

First visit to Tea Island today and we will definitely be back again soon. Booked a table yesterday and was allocated a lovely booth. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating for gluten free request. The selection of cakes on offer was quite vast and absolutely delicious. They picked up on the fact it was a birthday celebration for my daughter and even put a candle in the cake and sang to her which was lovely. Thank you for this personal touch. For such a small space it's amazing to see what the owners have done to the place, beautiful dresser of tea pots and vintage China . We will definitely be back again soon!

This quaint and beautiful tea room had me and my friend from the moment we got to the door. The staff were so lovely, welcoming and helpful, they couldn't do enough to try and please you. The atmosphere was child friendly and bursting with happiness. The decor is wonderful; mismatch tea pots and tea cups, all very flowery and pretty. It's amazing how much they've done with a small space. When inside it doesn't feel small either. Truly well thought out. Even the lady that runs the shop looks the part; with her bandanna and 1960's dresses. The food was beautiful. You have the choice of a fairly wide selection of delicious sandwiches and a few wraps too, when ordering the cream tea. The scones are gorgeous, all homemade. Prosecco and wine is also available. The venue also offers outdoor seating, which is also a lovely area and still feels part of it. I can't wait to go back!

What an absolute GEM of a place, perfect afternoon tea! We took my grandma as a surprise there were 5 of us in total and I'm so glad we picked this place! The welcome atmosphere when you walk in, attention to detail, gorgeous vintage tea sets. The food was lovely and there was plenty- we left stuffed and took the cake we didn't finish home wrapped to go! The owners were genuinely interested in you and your story which was really nice- you don't get that often a real personal touch! Well done cannot recommend enough!!!! Thank you :)

What a lovely afternoon celebrating my twins 3rd birthday, as well as my Auntie's 47th birthday. They went out of their way to ensure the children were entertained while us adults were able to tuck in and enjoy our Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches and cakes were yummy! The staff were so welcoming, helpful and charming. I would highly recommend checking this place out! Tea Island, thank you so much for making their birthday afternoon one to remember :-)

7 of use took my 90 year old mother in law there on Saturyday for her birthday. Liana was very attentive and caring and constantly checked on all of her guests. We loved the atmosphere and music and the sandwiches and cakes were delicious. WHat a lovely little tea room. I have lived in Hornchurch for the best part of 30 years and never noticed this lovely little gem of a place. Thank you

I had visited this wonderful place, Tea Island, which was booked up by one of my niece's, for my sister's birthday surprise. There was a party of twelve of us. The proprietor of this vintage heaven also made all the sandwiches, fresh on the day and I was pleased to say, she also catered for myself, with a food disease and allergies, brilliantly! The sandwiches and mini cakes, melted in the mouth and with almost endless pots of tea, if required - the setting and atmosphere, was just perfect. Tea Island was busy with other smaller parties going on, but, and we all sang Happy Birthday, to other strangers and shared in their celebration too. Definitely a place I would happily re-visit for another celebration, or even, just for afternoon tea. 🙏🍰🥙☕🦋🌈🤓

We had a "Scumptious" Afternoon Tea, everything was so fresh, light & delicious. The perfect place to have a special afternoon tea, they have created a charming ambiance. We cannot finish without mentioning Linda (The Owner) and her lovely staff, who make this place so special and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, we will be sure to return very soon ❤️

Lovely vintage tea room serving afternoon tea and cakes. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had the afternoon tea, which was tasty and good value for money too. The tea includes a variety of dainty sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, petit fours and a choice of different cakes. This came with refillable pots of tea and coffee (not all types are covered by this). We also had prosecco which made it extra special. The staff also ensured that there were diary-free options for us too. I would definitely recommend it.

Great place, I took my 9 and 10 year old granddaughters for a treat, as we had done the 'walk 1k a day in feb' for dementia. Food was fantastic, staff were very polite and friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family

I have been visiting Tea Island for the last few years. This is my favourite tea shop in Hornchurch. From a quick catch up with my mate on a Saturday morning, to a quick cuppa and a tea cake on a day off. You are always welcomed with a smile and a chat.
