The food is lovely and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend their Naga chicken or Raj lamb. The lamb is lovely with lemon rice 👍🏻 Oh and good selection of wine 🍾

Went there last night for the first time. Excellent food, great ambience the head waiter/manager is a really nice guy and very friendly, as is his wife. We went out with friends for a catch up and it was really nice to be able to talk at a normal level instead of trying to make yourself heard over the 'background' music. Service was good and relaxed no rushing just come in and enjoy yourself. Would recommend and say it is now my favourite indian restaurant.

Absolutely delicious! Tonight my fiancé and I treated ourselves to a dinner out and decided on Mustard. Our food was delicious, piping hot and served in good timing. My fiancé ordered chicken biriyani and a Bombay aloo side. I ordered the lamb kashmir raj, pilau rice and sag paneer. All dishes were delicious and did not disappoint. My lamb curry was very hot and made me cry (how I like it lol!) and my fiancé said his biriyani was one of the best he has tried. Both curries had a lot of meat, which was very tender and tasty. My sag paneer was creamy and full of paneer cheese. Rice dishes were very light, fluffy and fresh.
The atmosphere was perfect, we were there at 630pm on a Saturday evening and it was a good amount of people to create an atmosphere. We also must note that we like that Mustard offer the option of coke/lemonade as a pint, as most places only offer the tiny glass bottles at high prices. This is a USP Mustard has over other Indian restaurants!
We were also really pleased to see the 5/5 hygiene rating too and the restaurant eating area was indeed very clean and inviting. All staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming too.
We originally was going to order online but chose to treat ourselves to eating in. After looking through the website and after deciding to eat in, on our way to Hornchurch I had a couple of phone calls from Runa, followed by a text saying if we were having any issues to let her know. We feel this was very attentive and helpful, welcoming and appreciative of new customers.
We cannot fault our visit and will be returning, thank you all for giving us a lovely evening! :)
First time using this indian restaurant. Very very happy great staff and the food was amazing. My daughter found a hair in her meal the manager see it and took it off the table and re cooked her another meal immediately no questions asked I would re use this restaurant without a question. I also recommend the garlic chilli prawn starter amazing.

The food from mustard Indian is always beautiful, not swimming in fat and colouring, always fresh and perfectly cooked. They are friendly and helpful on the phone and catered for our specific requests. 100% would recommend.
The restaurant is fantastic. The food is second to none. The service is top quality. We have to mention the waiter Raki (not sure if we have spelled this correctly) but he is so friendly, helpful and just an all round lovely person. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for food, atmosphere and service. Five star for us.

This place took me by surprise. The food i ordered was absoluty delicious. The decor was pleasent and the service extreamly friendly but as i said my beef naga curry and mustard special biryani was very very tasty. I will 100% recomend to anybody who knows a good curry.

Having moved to the area a year ago and being of Pakistani origin, it has been incredibly hard to find authentic Indian food in Hornchurch/Upminster. I have been to quite a few restaurants in the area and they have been bland and tasteless. Often restaurants in the local area use no spices whatsoever when making various types of curry and solely just throw chilli powder in (cumin, coriander, garam masala etc). I was therefore very sceptical when I tried food at Mustard restaurant today, and really pleased to say it far exceeded my expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even allowing me to adjust my balti dish to a higher heat level (comparable to madras). However, what they did not compromise on was the blend of spices and flavours for the curries. My husband had a lamb dopiaza which was also superb. Pilau rice and garlic naan was fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an authentic experience and definitely coming back here again!
Food is amazingly nice and customer service even better. Hoping to eat at their restaurant. I think they have new owners now and they have their own app haven't downloaded yet but they give a lot of of freebies and what's more important to me is, that they have a 5* hygiene rating.
Food was decent, portions reasonable apart from the sea bass which was fairly small covered with coating of veg. Coconut rice very nice, as we're pashwari nans. Not busy in the restaurant enen on Saturday. Friendly waiters. I would go again.

Best Indian food in the area.
It's become our regular take out place. Each curry dish has plenty of meat in which is always an issue at other places. Food was delivered nice and hot. Friendly delivery guy.
Before ordering they were really helpful via email advising which items were vegan and I really appreciate that. Food was really nice! Everything hot and cooked nicely. Chips were a bit soggy but over all... delicious! Thanks Runa and team for the best Indian food we’ve had in years. Very reasonable price, quick service, great presentation / excellent taste / great choice 👍
