Asda Cafe - Horwich

I am an autistic shopper and so find going in a supermarket very difficult, with lights, other shoppers and noise. A couple of weeks ago I was really struggling and Janine went out of her way to understand what was wrong and how Asda staff could assist me to make my shopping experience less stressful. She went to a real effort to understand my disability and offer support. She even told me about a specialist quiet hour for disabled shoppers like me. I think that it is great that Asda is so inclusive towards the autistic community.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Christian in the bakery section for going above and beyond to make a little girls birthday cake dreams come true, my other half travelled to the store to go and buy the supersized sid the sausage dog cake and sadly they had none in stock he helped my other half by calling other stores to locate one which he found on his second attempt, while still busy flipping pancakes and other bakery drama. He made our girls seventh birthday she was ecstatic with it. Thank you Christian! Employee of the month should be heading your way! Also to add on to the drama of a good old caterpillar cake this one by far is the one to beat!🤣🐛(we have twins so obviously two cakes is a must)

Security guard actually went out of his way to come and find my boyfriend and I in an aisle and ask if we were buying anything. We said yes, and he aggressively told us to "stop messing around in the aisles" - we had been in the shop for 2 minutes and I had been just calmly browsing? (We genuinely were not messing around so I was baffled) So I said we weren't messing around. We were then aggressively told that we were messing around and it looked suspicious. It turned out that he was so angry at us because my boyfriend had given me his coat and hugged me because I was cold?? We just left after that as it had ruined my mood. Overall terrible experience, I don't remember the name but he was the young security guard working at 10pm on 25/01/2022. Very hostile and rude, had some kind of power complex where he couldn't just back off and leave us alone, Needs new training. I wouldve gladly emptied my pockets at the door and showed my receipt so I don't know why he's approached us with no ground to be suspicious. Very unprofessional.

The staff need retraining in the cafe as soon as possible as customer service is non existent. Service is incredibly slow and fridges near enough empty. No cutlery, most tables filthy and condiments are empty. The server is completely oblivious to customer complaints and not talking about the lady swapping chips back and forth plates without using gloves. Highly doubtful that any of them will be back... I and my party of 4 will definitely not be back!

Terrible customer service, badly signposted customer service area. Apparently you have to interumpt the two ladies chatting behind the cigarette counter. I carried my broken dinner set to the counter that said customer service and where it would fit and stood patiently. The ladies continued to ignore me and continue chatting, giving the impression they were nothing to do with customer service. I continued to wait, then two customers arrived wanting cigarettes, I continued to wait, after several more minutes after they began chatting again I approached and asked could they please arrange for a customer service person to attend, the lady then rudely said that they were customer service and I needed to 'bring it here'. I said that the dinner set was too large to go through the gap in the service hatch. She then grudgingly carried the dinner set over to the other side of her till, I said be careful it's heavy, she completely ignored me after that point. Definitely customer service need some attention
