The Knife & Cleaver - Houghton Conquest - Photo album

Went for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed! Staff were friendly and helpful despite it being fairly busy. We had the trio roast for two, which had plenty of food and was delicious
Really surprised how nice the room was. Never had food but they serve a good pint. One thing they should take into consideration is perhaps saving a few parking places for guests who are staying the night. Other than that its a nice little pub and would return if in the area again.
We had a great stay. Our room was lovely and great value for money, dinner and breakfast was perfect and all the staff were happy and polite and couldn't do enough for us. Will def be going back.
Food was great, but the service was very slow! Didn’t get a drinks menu when we were seated, and it took 35 minutes to even take our food order. First drink came after 35 minutes, and everyone else’s drinks were brought out at a staggered pace. My drink order was forgotten about so received my drink

Afternoon Tea - Friday 23rd June @1pm We Came here as a party of 5 to celebrate a Birthday. I was 1st to arrive, and a young Lady at the bar kindly showed me where we would be seated, and I was just taken by Awe when I had walked in. This is the most loveliest pub I have been to in a long time. The
This pub has changed so much for the better since we last went there over a decade ago! Only went for a drink but will be back for food soon. The pud also has rooms at a very reasonable price so we might make a night of it . Great place really liked it.🙂
Lovely pub in a quiet village, with a beautiful church opposite. The only disappointment was the food, apart from breakfast. I had tuna the first night which was overcooked, and chicken the second night, which was undercooked.
