I went here with a few friends on Tuesday night. It was fantastic! Nothing was a problem for the staff who were so accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious!! Really decent portion sizes and extremely reasonable. I had breaded halloumi- delicious and huge!! Followed by chicken stroganoff with rice and it came with a side order of chips. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and will definitely be back! �
Delicious! Walked in at just before four with two fussy kids, but nothing was too much trouble. God was quick and so tasty, homemade Yorkshire Puds, roasties to die for and gravy was amazing. Meat was melt-in-the-mouth and the mash is worth a special mention! Great meal, hope to be back soon x
Called yesterday for Sunday lunch, got to say it was the best I have ever had, beautifully presented, meat was so tender and plenty of it, mashed potato smooth and creamy, massive Yorkshire pudding and 8 vegetables. Amazing food at a very reasonable price , will definately be back.

Had an enjoyable meal with 9 old friends at 6.30pm on a Thursday evening. It was really busy so service was slow but quieter by 9pm. My lobster pasta was tasty but not much of it so pleased when friend who had chips with her chicken couldn't eat hers!! Pizzas had huge crusts so lots left by another friend. Car park is over the road.
Stunning food, with wonderful customer service. This food is truly, warm and hearty food for the soul. Highly recommend the gamberoni piccante, one of the most delicious dishes I’ve had in a while! Thank you!

The Prospect Italian Bistro is a little gem !
Canny little place this. Popped in for one when I came down to visit penshaw monument. 1 pint led to another and another the atmosphere and the bar staff were great. Will have to pop by again next time I'm up there and get food. Cosy little place. Also there is a small bit out the back if you smoke or even just fancy sitting out there because it's warm. Overall nice place and I do recomend it
These guys are the real deal. 2nd time coming here and it’s now firmly my fave restaurant in Sunderland. The food is faultless, the service goes above and beyond, and they are children friendly (we have two under 3 years old). We will definitely be back. Please keep up the fantastic standard. 👌🏽
Went here for dinner for my daughters birthday. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. A big shout out to Francesco who looked after us and was an absolute credit to this restaurant. Will definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful food with huge portions. I went with a group of friends and we had starters , mains and drinks.We were served by a young blond girl who was very friendly and chatty. Our waiter was helpful when enquiring about the menu. Could not fault the place, will definitely be back.

Went in for a meal with the family and Monday night. Food was really good and the service was great! Kids menu had a few options and had a good portion size.
The staff were extremely friendly and approachable. Our main server was fantastic, I did not catch her name but she had the long black hair. Was always available if we needed anything else and was so helpful in explaining the menu to us.
Visited on Fri 18th Aug for a family celebration of a 40th birthday. From booking to leaving we couldn't have been treat better. Meals were prebooked and every starter and meal was 1st class. They stored a birthday cake for us and brought out and sang was a great finish to a great meal. Even allowed is to eat own cake for dessert.
This isn't 1st time we have visited and its always great food served by lovely staff who always go over and above. Thanks from the Malcolm family.
We had an excellent family meal here tonight. Great food, nice setting, very good waiting staff and reasonably priced. I can personally recommend the squid starter and lobster ravioli main.
I had the 2 course special, pizza and dessert. Was very nice and a good portion, I couldn't eat it all. There was a mix-up with the bill, which took a little time to sort but overall very good.
I'm glad to say that after my last visit, nothing has changed! Excellent Italian restaurant, the staff are friendly and the food is very good. Not the 'traditional Italian dining experience', but that's not a bad thing. Portion sizes are generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. All food served at our table looked and tasted delicious. Highly recommended.
Very nice, friendly, good food, good offers.We were a party of 16, not sat together unfortunately, but never spoilt the night..The only criticism was it was too hot ( very unusual for me to complain about the heat ) needed windows that would open or air con.
Like most Italian restaurants it was noisy, but that was the noise if people enjoying the night.
PS.I don't give 5☆as there is always a little something somewhere for improvement.
