Decided to check out this place for dinner this evening. They had quite a few tables and even though it was decently busy we were able to be seated immediately. The ambiance was slightly dark and cozy. The wait staff was very kind and our food was out SUPER quickly, I would say roughly 7 minutes after we ordered. The food itself was delicious, it came out out hot and it was so good that my girlfriend and I couldn't stop eating until everything was gone. All in all I don't have a single negative thing to say about my experience and I highly reccomend checking this place out!

A nice Malaysian restaurant in China Town Houston. My friend likes their mango chicken and we went for a late lunch on a weekday. The ambience features traditional asian setting. Staff was friendly. As we arrived at almost 2pm, the tables were mostly available. Courses were served quickly. We ordered three courses, Mango Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Hainan Chicken with Rice. Mango Chicken was mainly sweet and sour and my friend loved it, as always. I liked the Pineapple Fried Rice as it's a good mix of different ingredients with different flavors. The Hainan chicken was a disappointment though, as the chicken was not as juicy and smooth as expected. The tables and chairs are a bit aged and could use some upgrades. The food tastes good and is of generous size. Overall a safe bet if you want to try some Asian food for good value in a cozy environment.

Ordered take-out and found the food to be decent at best. This Malaysian restaurant used to be a standout in the area, but it seems the taste and food quality have declined since my last visit.

We ordered chicken rice, curry Laksa with seafood and char koay teow and overall food is decent. The chicken rice could have been made silky.

Been going for a while and the service is always friendly! A good place to order family style and share with your party. Always recommend the sizzling bean curd! It's egg tofu in a crispy skin and can come with vegetables or meat toppings. This time we also ordered some salted fish and Chinese broccoli and pork spare ribs. Salted fish is real salty, as in its name, so beware. The pork spare ribs were very tasty too!

Normally when I go to Houston I'm going to eat Chinese or Vietnamese food. This time I took a chance and went to banana leaf which actually I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The roti was really flaky and soft and the calamari was not too chewy and not too salty. We had the beef with wide noodles and it had a very good charred taste to it. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

The place was not that crowded 4/5 went with a group of 7 including me and the service was really nice to our group 5/5. Indian pancake w beef I would give the texture 4/5. Crunchy onions and the dough lightly crispy. The flavor is 4/5 heavy onions flavor with light beef taste. Curry makes it better and a nice kick to the back of your throat. Capitan stir fried flat noodle the texture is 4/5. Came out hot, noodles are easy to chew on but not too soft, calamari is tender with a nice bite, vegetables are okay and the fried onions give a nice texture. Flavor 4/5 seafood flavor of the squid combined with umami flavor gives it a nice taste in the palate. Water tasted funny but that’s about it. Overall 4/5. Would I go back with my friends/family? Yes if they recommend it or when we’re nearby.

Got the satay, roti canai, baby oyster omelette, nasi lemak, stir fried flat noodle, Penang Assam laksa, and Thai fried rice. I thought everything had a lot of flavor. The satay chicken was just a little sweet and went well with the creamy peanut sauce. the nasi lemak was delicious. The roti canai was a little disappointing as the "curry" just seemed like a weak watery brown soup. It's clear that no chicken has ever touched that curry. The overall combination with the paratha was not that bad though. The omelette dish was Omelette on top of oysters on top of a bed of lettuce. Individually, the omelette was good, but the oysters weren't that great. However, once you made a wrap of lettuce, omelette, and oysters and dipped it in the sauce, the flavors were incredible. The flat noodle was also delicious. My sister wasn't that fond of the Thai rice, but I thought it was fine. The laksa was an enormous dish. I haven't had Assam laksa and while the pineapple was good, I think I prefer the traditional coconut based one! Overall lots of flavor and a great place to have a tasty family style meal!

Great prices and amazing portions! First of all, the waiters were very friendly and prompt. Came on a Friday night and service was fast. The food was absolutely delicious—Biggest recommendations as for appetizers: The chicken satay is sweet and savory. Roti was flaky and absolutely delicious. Veggie samosa was so good! Definitely going to come back again to try the other dishes on the very extensive menu.
