I only get their spring rolls, since I haven’t had the chance to try other items on the menus. The rolls are pretty small compared to other places, but fresh. Usually I come during lunch or after lunch hours, but service would still be slow. The servers are friendly, however

Unassuming from the outside, but clean and quiet on the inside. The staff is very friendly (so sweet with my kids) and the food was great! Very large portions that are great for sharing.

VIETNAM RESTAURANT IS A MUST STOP!!!! Class and comfort when you walk in the door. Contemporary music plays in the background as you enjoy your visit at this restaurant. The staff are pleasant and attentive and ensure that your dining experience is noteworthy. The extensuve healthy menu provides dozens of meal choices and the food is fresh. Expect generous portions and flavorful dishes! For about 10-12 dollars a meal it is well worth it. Thanks Laura and the crew! I will be back.

We went here before an event and the food was very good. Everyone at our table loved what they ordered. I can't believe we've lived in the Heights for over 5 years and have only recently given the restaurant a try. We will be back soon and this time I will bring some wine!

Clean restaurant and great service. You’re looking at the Vietnamese beef, a wonderful combination of tender beef, onions, jalapeños, garlic, and tomatoes. Severed with a special citrus sauce, it’s worth trying.

O....M...G...This place has the BEST Sweet and Sour Pork I've ever eaten in my life. I hope I don't hype it up too much for you, but let me tell you how much I love it. My dad works in the Heights and we had a lunch date one afternoon. Instead of going to one of our usual places, I suggested we go somewhere I'd never been. He directed me to TVR and I am so glad he did. I ordered the sesame chicken for lunch, which was great, but he he ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork. I tried a bite of his food and MAN was I impressed! I came back that week and ordered it to-go and have ordered it about 4 or 5 times since. This is by far the BEST I've ever tasted. I have been to many other restaurants that CLAIM to have great Sweet and Sour pork, but no one even comes close-I've been to Mala Sichuan (good, but bone inside the pork of course), Kam's Wok (good but the pork is way too tough and P.F. Chang's (they don't even have an option for pork anymore-but the chicken's not bad). The pork at TVR is sooooo tender. I don't know how they do it. And the sauce is PERFECT! Not too sweet and not too sour. My only problem is I live on the East End of the loop and they are on the Northwest side of the loop. Can't wait till DoorDash is delivering to me. So glad my dad suggested this place. LOVE IT!!

I do love it here. I've been eating with Danny and these nice folks so long, they feell ike family. It's super casual. I'll drive by and pick up charcoal broiled pork rolls for a light dinner at least once a week in the summer. Scallops are always delicious. And there's plenty of familiar things on the menu to satisfy anyone in your party who might be new to Vietnamese cuisine.

Good Vietnamese food and good service. I used to come here everytime I was in Houston for their Eggplant Luc Lac, but they've changed it and it's not nearly as awesomely good as it used to be. Still good food all around and I'd eat here again, I just won't absolutely make sure to eat here like in the past.

This place has amazing authentic Vietnamese food, I had the Vietnamese beef with steamed rice, it was delicious!!! I had to let the cook know how great his cooking is, I think it's super genuine to be able to meet and complement the cook. I will definitely be back!!!
