The Egg & I Restaurant

This is the best Brunch spot I have been to in Houston. The food is phenomenal, the Service is wonderful. 0 complaints , The manager Luis, is a really nice man. I enjoyed this food so much everything I ordered were great. I HIGHLY recommend coming here. I love love love this place . Amazing quality food . Very clean environment . All staff very very friendly. Food is authentic . 10 out of 10 for everything.

This was my first time visiting this establishment and here's why I gave it four stars. Today they had us order at the counter and the line while short (5 people) took over half an hour to order. After confirming my order twice, it was still wrong. Thankfully for Darren who was hustling cleaning tables, bringing out orders and replenishing cups/utensils at the soda station. He still went above and beyond in making sure everything was corrected! Now for the food. The Waffles here are huge and so is the French Toast. They were very fluffy and the syrup wasn't too sweet so it complemented perfectly. The fried potatoes were also very crispy, soft and delicious.

Decor is nice, there isn't a hostess at the front but there is a sign that says to take a menu and go to the counter to order. Food wait time is decent. Food presentation is very good. You do serve your own coffee and drinks. They do bring you hot tea. Not much hot drink choices. Food is tasty and fresh. Staff was pleasant. Good place to visit. Be a little patient.

Line to order took almost an hour, but once we ordered our food was brought out in about 10 minutes. Not sure if there was not as many people working since it was Memorial Day but something to keep in mind. Overall, the food was good. I would go back if I could guarantee the wait time to be like max 20-30 minutes.

Super cute! We were looking for breakfast that wasn't too far and this place showed up as a best brunch spot and I see why. I did notice that although there is plenty of signage a lot of people still didn't realize it was a order at the counter and seat yourself style, maybe the podium up front threw them off. But my son was impressed and that's all that mattered.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot look no further. I definitely recommend checking this place out. At first I was too sure, but once I got my food and took a bite I was in heaven. Everything was delicious. I ordered the Classic Yummy and a French latte everything was delicious. I would definitely rate this place a 9/10. My hash brown was a little hard but I made it through 🙃.Everything was fresh and the pancakes were divine. I wish they had a location in DFW I would frequent it often. If you live or you’re visiting Houston I definitely recommend checking this place out. Hubby was impressed too and enjoyed his breakfast tacos. You won’t be be disappointed. I only took one photo should have taken more.
