I came here 2nd time and will be my go to place when in the area. The authentic taste, super fast service, and friendly atmosphere is hall mark of the Shiv Sagar. The price is very reasonable and quantity is more than enough. So many varieties under one roof to serve every member of the large family.

My favourite is dahi puri and dosa. Chat tastes like the bathura from chole bathura. Pav bhaji has buns for pav.
I wish they followed the instructions when requested.

I have been a regular customer at Shiv Sagar since they opened in 2007 (or so). The hospitality, food, warmth, and atmosphere constantly reminds me of my favorite Mumbai restaurants. I have tried there some items and they were test like India there must try is dabeli it was test like i was eating in kutch. And also tried there Panipuri was good too. The staff was really polite and ready to help you in the way we want.

Definitely a good place for Gujarati food. They just don't have Gujarati food but lots of other options. The food quality is really good and tastes really good. Even at 11 when they open there is a line. I would definitely recommend this place.

Made a quick stop here while we were in houston. Ordered Dahi Puri and Bread Pakoda.
You have to order and pick a table and get seated! Food took forever to be served. People who ordered dosa after us was served/picked up before us. We had to ask twice for our food.
Bright side of this is that food is very fresh! Pakora and Dahi puri tasted very good!

The dahi puri and papri chaat were great. The Mysore masala dosa was good. A very busy location when I visited the establishment. The salt lassi was something new to try out for me. It’s a very self service oriented restaurant. They call your table number when the order is ready and you have to go pick it up from the counter. The water and utensils are available for you and your party to fetch and bring to your table. Overall, our items were good (especially the chaat menu items)

One of the best restaurants in Houston. Nice place they have only self service option they announced table number when your order is ready. If you have cravings for Indian food must visit this place. Quality and Quantity both are so good. They have so many options and they also have Jain options.
