Hotel Derek

I did a staycation for my birthday and it was lovely experience. I booked with a 3rd party and they over booked the hotel and I could not get the room, I wanted. But the staff did above thier duty to extend a pleasant experience and have me a great deal to make up for my room. The location is near great restaurants and clubs. Very nice, I think I will do it again next year.

This was my first time staying at the Hotel Derek and my 3 days there weren't bad compared to the many other hotels around Houston that are deplorable. For the most part my experience was good. I would say there were a few complaints that really stood out to me during my stay. The first being the exact location of the hotel I am not fond of. It's a pain to get in and out of the hotel and one particular day I drove to the front to pick up my mother and Valet told me to move my car to 3 different spots in a span of 15 minutes. They completely consume the entire front of the hotel and if you're not getting Valet then you're really not welcome to park there & wait on a guest. Another incident was my bathroom in my room was occupied and I went downstairs to use the one in the lobby and as I was taking care of business the security guard came in there and started playing 20 questions with me while I was on the toilet. I was furious over that. Lastly one night late we got back parked our car and as we walked to the elevator we had to walk through a hazy cloud of weed or pot smoke that the security guard was puffing out from his gold cart, gosh forbid if we had a real emergency I wonder how successful that would be in a stoned blitzed state. No other complaints other than that.

The view over the city is amazing clean love there extra on your soap toothpaste ketchup jelly that double cheeseburger lettuce tomatoes onion pickles mustard baby on toasted Jesus onion rings baby everything here is BIG literally little personal things made me feel home away from home… sexy patrol officer but when I say Big they do it BIG very down to earth handsome but firm I liked that. But the way he hooked my electric car up for fFREE Yes baby I left here fully charged less anxiety because it’s a gas station on every corner but finding electric plugs oh my gosh ready to go….Hotel Derek has a little stanch in the entryways sad face that’s why I couldn’t hit the five 5 stars but that balcony made me say my lord God I just want to thank you for forgiving me for no faith or fear of not finding true love because baby these Gentlemen in Houston oh they drink different kinds of water…. My future husband is somewhere here in Houston… I loved my stay the complementary robes in the closet were nice I like to smell fabric softener in my close so you know I skipped that but the thought was so comforting because sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do… aye been there too . But overall I pray this helps someone to book the trip book this hotel at least once and baby your gonna leave full.. hopefully relaxed and ready for a new adventure if visiting.
