Ihop

The food was great and came out as desired. I think the female staff need to keep the gossip noise down. They were too loud, and were sitting at one of the booths to laugh at their gossip. They should be more respectful and use a back room or break time to do this. This was at noon on a Tuesday. Otherwise, it's a good quick restaurant.

The staff were amazing!! So kind and fun, I went with my friends and our waitress joked around with us, and offered to take pictures for us! She was so much fun that we even wanted a picture with her! The food did take a while, but I was with a party of around 10, so that's to be expected for my experience. This ihop does separate checks, which is not typical of my local ihop! We were expecting to have to round up all our cash and scrounge up change to pay each other back, but the separate checks made it so much more easy and convenient, and the wait staff didn't give us a hard time about it either.

We went out that night with some friends to celebrate my birthday. Before ending the night, we decided to get something to eat. At that time of the morning, we didn't have many choices, so we decided on IHOP. We got there at a good time because people started pouring in. Everything was nice. No complaints.

I like this IHOP on the Southwest Fwy at Kirby Dr. There is muted lighting in the dining room with very comfortable booths. I especially like the IHOPPY menu. This menu offers significant discounts on selected items after 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Service is friendly and prompt. The food is excellent.

Two Sr citizens went out for my husband’s birthday breakfast He ordered the Sr. 2-2-2. You can order 2more pancakes as many as you want. As soon as he got his meal he asked for two more pancakes. He finished his meal and still had no pancakes. Asked again. And asked again. And again. Finally got 4 at one time. Asked at the time they came out for two more. He finished again. No pancakes. Asked waiter. He told us all the orders turned in were cooked before his refills. We told him that was poor customer service! Ten minutes later he got two more pancakes. Worst customer service ever.

This is the cleanest and most modern IHOP that I've ever been too! I really like the new coffee bar option as well as the updated modern decor. To be honest, the kitchen entrance seems out of place as it's the brightest light in the restaurant. With that said, the lighting is very optimal! The food was simply okay. It seemed very lackluster. The service was also okay. My server was very attentive but also quite stoic, lacked eye contact, and to-the-script. So while I received my food in a timely manner and she always checked to see if I needed anything, I didn't feel any connection to my server. For most people, this is okay and some actually prefer no connection. However this lack of connection affects the overall sentiment of my visit. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the 5 star decor but have to give an honest 4 stars to service and food. Still a location to visit in the future!
