Frenchy's Chicken

Fried chicken well seasoned as well as fries which were crispy outside tender inside. Nice soupy beans and rice. Would have ordered more food but the pay system did not support my pay method. It is strictly ‘no cash’ operation. Must have credit or debit card. Other electronic pay options available. QR scanner method used. Staff was very polite.

I love Frenchy's so I'm giving them a 5. Let's drop facts for a second though. You never know what youre going to get when you go to Frenchy's. The hood in me has come to expect it and I don't even mind. The worst parts for me is sometimes they don't have items on the menu and sometimes some of the staff may have a bad attitude. I'm so glad they have a new building they deserve it they've been serving the hood since before I was born. I love Frenchy's

Great fried chicken!!! We got 12 pieces dark with 2 sides and cornbread. Red beans and rice was seasoned well but could have had a bit more salt. Same with greens. Drive thru was pretty slow but service was great when we finally were at window. They were really busy so its understandable. Its a good sign when you have people willing to wait. Overall, very good food and positive 1st visit. I'll be back when I return to Houston.

Every time I'm in Houston, I have to go to Frenchy's at least once. Went today (7/28/23) and found that they had moved to their new permanent home on Scott Street. It's beautiful. I'm so proud that a local favorite that's been around probably longer than I have has finally gotten this beautiful facility. I was told that it will eventually function as a 2 story restaurant😳. Frenchy's has come a long way baby. The drive thru was crazy busy as usual so we went in and ordered. Not overly fancy, but all that we needed. Congratulations Frenchy's!

They only take cash at this location it's near U OF H but in the hood. No problems anytime I've gone in drive thru. The chicken is great but the beans and rice sucked. I didn't eat that. Next time I will get the greens or something. Their old location used to be further down the street next to where the church used to be. I have childhood memories of that location. This new location is nice, prices are still alright. I love the seasoning they use and it's always been worth the drive. Will return in the near future.
