This place is relentless in their pursuit of providing some of the best gumbo my fiancée and I have ever had. Every time we order it, it's excellent. Their Crawfish Etouffee is stellar, as is their Cajun Pasta.

It is definitely tucked away. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing, the food was great and there is a lot to select from.

Tucked away and a GEM! I wanted some fried fish one day and this place spoke to me! Only thing is I wish I had told them to add pickle to my poboy, the gator was SUPER GOOD!!! And extremely fresh I may add! They do charge extra when u pay with a card so be prepared for the 2-3 dollar upcharge but that gator so good it’s worth it!

I picked Bayou Cajun Cafe for its reviews. The reviews were really good and so was the food.
I was unimpressed when I drove up to the strip mall and when we walked into the cafe. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the order counter.
I had the Bayou Combo which included perfectly fried catfish and a delicious crawfish étouffée.
I will be back!

I visited here for the first time today and was wanting a quick snack on a budget, and very happy with the option I found! I got the chicken strip value menu item, and got broccoli with it, very delicious and fresh, both the chicken and the broccoli! The staff was very helpful to decide what to try, they really went above and beyond the norm. Thank you!

Stopped in for my first time and got the fried chicken poor boy. And was not disappointed 🤩💯‼️😋🥰 definitely going back for seconds to try more of the menu!

Stopped in with a large group (14) for lunch on a Friday. Food came out pretty quickly was definitely hot and delicious.
Repeat visit, food came out much slower for our large group this time. Still very tasty just really slow for certain people in our group. Several were completely done eating before others even got food.

I can't speak on anything other than the fried catfish and fries because that's all I've ever ordered. Lol. I love their catfish! Fresh and fried just the way I like it. They are always super friendly and attentive. I saw a review saying the prices weren't posted but that has never been the case since I've been eating here and I've been coming since 2019.
This is possibly the best fried catfish in the Houston area! I ask for some of the seasoning they put on the fries and add it to my catfish.
