Cafe Mawal Clear Lake

There are a lot of Mediterranean restaurants in Texas especially around the league city area. What makes Mawal Cafe the best here is because of their consistency in their food which is always good, amazing customer service. The manager Kenny is really good and takes care of his customers. I had a big party order and everything was perfect

Very chill and relaxing place! Got the Gyro plate for about $12.00. Gyro came in decent portions. Sauce was creamy and delicious. Fries were not bad either. The environment was very relaxing. There were booths or outside seating. Great place to just chill and have good conversations. People were playing Majong which was interesting to see. They gave us the wrong Hookah flavor and missed one of my friends orders, so service was not that great that day. They did attempt to give us the correct flavor which was nice.

Food was good. Several of the other customers were "smoking" some sort of large vaping device. It made the whole restaurant strongly smell like incense. If you have a sensitive nose you probably don't want to eat inside. Lunch specials were a good value and even included a small piece of Baklava. FYI the red sauce that is served in a little side container is super spicy, be careful. The white sauce is the standard garlic sauce. Not as garlicky as most but still pretty good.

Webster/Clear Lake is a crowded market for Mediterranean, but Mawal manages to carve its own definitive space with its variety, quality, and hookah availability. The service is typically a little slow, so it's not the place to go in a hurry, but the food more than makes up for any slowness. They are priced extremely fairly and offer up a great deal of food in return. It was scrumptious. Their Turkish coffee is excellent, the humus is clearly fresh, I love the mawal plate, it's all so good!!
