Kaneayama Japanese Restaurant

Best miso soup I have ever had. Ordered the sushi bento. Tasty. The tuna and salmon tasted fresh. The salad dressing was meh, but that may be because I wasn't expecting the ginger and the lettuce was nearly dropping wet. I liked the tempura veggies as well. Many restaurants could learn to bread foods with such the light touch. I'll be back, for sure.

The sushi is delicious! I had the Houston Roll wrapped in soy paper instead of seaweed and it was amazing as well as fully stuffed with the freshest salmon and tuna. My fiance had the beef teriyaki and it was served with miso soup, fried rice, tempura veggies, a sizzling steak on top a bed of sautéed onions. The teriyaki sauce was served on the side, a nice touch. I highly recommend Kaneyama for sushi or teriyaki.

The place is always clean and nice. I have been to this place several times over the years and it is fairly consistent in all aspects. You never have to wait long for a table. The service is good. The food never disappoints! I love the bento box as well as the sushi variety! I love that there are no children running around or people being loud.

We’d like to reply the comment from Samamtha Morrison. This lady’s mother came with our gift certificate which sold 2 years before, we’ve already change the owner on 7/2017, we are willing to help her to get in touch with last owner who sold this certificate . After we told her that we couldn’t accept this certificate, and all of the gift card customers buy from our restaurant, we have record ,but we could found the record that this lady provide to us, she just left without pay for what she ate, and post some false information online, these was no way our employee force this lady stay, we believe in god,please don’t post unreal information online,this is unacceptable. Anyway we are sincerely sorry about all the inconvenience, god bless you.

Missed the happy hour by a few minutes but my experience was still excellent. I happened on this restaurant by mistake (being followed by a man) but now it's one of my favorite go to spots! The seven spice calamari is excellent, the cold sake gives you just the right amount of buzz, and the rolls are yummyyyyyyy. There are a LOT of things here I'd still like to try but I'm sure it wont change this review. The employees are courteous, attentive, professional (and protective!) and the décor is comfortable and inviting. Love this restaurant!

This was our go to restaurant growing up (sunce 1997)! Just had lunch there and the food is still delicious. We met the owner and chat for a bit. Although this restaurant has changed owners through the years, they've maintained the quality and taste! It is a bit pricey but I don't know any Japanese restaurant that's not. The "Snowman" sushi is my favorite! My 10 month old and three year old ate well, too! This will definitely be our go to restaurant again!
