Toro Japanese Steakhouse

The place was a little baren, with little to no customers dining. Kind of felt as if the place was closed. The ambience is nice minus the strange sax jazz and tribal music choice that sometimes plays. Felt a little out of place at times. Now the food, it was decent! The portions where okay, I ordered the dinner for two with the mignon and lobster tail. Both where cooked at the same time and seasoned the same way with soy sauce, pepper and salt. (actually everything was seasoned that way, rice, shrimp, beef.. Ect) which was a shame. Chef performed the usual routine of onion volcano and flame grill spectacle but nothing much else. He was very courteous which is always a plus. overall I would choose this place if you don't want to spend on behnihana and have lots of friends coming over. The staff was of course very courteous and restrooms where clean. My experience was good.

I really like this place. They have better hours than some Japanese restaurants. Two sides to it too, a sushi only side and a table cook side. The table cook doesn't use sunflower oil which is good for my husband. The prices are low enough to where we can go here more often. Atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Never overcrowded and we always get a table right away when we go.

Food was incredible I had the hibachi with steak and salmon. Steak was perfectly cooked as was the salmon and the flavors of the dish came together perfectly. The only negative thing I could even say is that my food came out very quickly and the main dish came right after the salad... not even a bad problem to have. Would definitely take a date here ;)

If you want great Japanese food this is the place to go. We took my husband here for his birthday & had the best experience. From receptionist, cook, waiters, ambience of the place, generous portion, price, presentation & taste of food were wonderful. We ordered the "Lover's Boat" Sushi & Sashimi (they are really served on a miniature wooden boat) along with other entrees & every single one we ordered were not a disappointment. And because it was his birthday they presented him with a complimentary green-tea flavored fried ice cream (you get to pick the flavor). Everything were just absolutely yummy. We definitely will come back to this newly-discovered Japanese restaurant. Goodbye Miyako.

Food was delicious, staff and cooks were beyond fantastic, ambience was pleasant, and the hibachi grill was entertaining! I came here a few months ago shortly after breaking my foot and they were very accommodating. Now I'm back here with my family of seven and there is plenty to eat between us. The sushi rolls are delicious, the sashimi tastes, and everything was yummy and looking great! Thank you, Toro!
