Hunan Garden Restaurant

We love the food here. Big fan of the General Tso's chicken. Only place locally that makes it the way we like it. crispy with dark meat and just the right amount of heat without being too sweet. The crab puffs are very large but good. Not enough sour in the hot & sour soup. Wish they would add more rice wine vinegar to it.

On Saturday 11/25/2023 I ordered a large order of 8 separate meals and sides through Hunan Garden at the Kingwood/ 59N location. The person who answered the phone and took our order was so FRIENDLY and FANTASTIC!! Every single order was CORRECT and it was also all so DELICIOUS!! Our food was also delivered about 20 minutes earlier than expected. The HUNAN GARDEN (Kingwood location, 59N location) has EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXCELLENT FOOD!!! We will be looking forward to our next order :)!!

It seems that any negative review of this restaurant involved a third party delivery. I have never had a poor meal at Hunan Garden and recommend this location often to friends and family. I don't use delivery services for the food I eat, just to many potential problems. That being said I absolutely trust the cooks and staff at Hunan Garden.

We are in a lunch group, we meet once a month for lunch at a local restaurant and this month one of our members suggested Hunan Garden. We all enjoyed our meals, the food was expertly prepared. They have a really good menu, lots of choices and the server was great. You can order from the lunch special menu or the regular menu, either way you get a lot of food as the servings are very generous. My wife and I really enjoyed the Hot and Sour soup, very well prepared. I also had the vegetable steamed dumplings which were big and tasty. Vegetable Lo Mein was well seasoned and full of stir fried veggies. My wife enjoyed her Sweet and Sour Pork which came with fried rice and a perfectly cooked egg roll. My wife and I plan to make this a regular spot to dine out at.

They have the best Chinese food all around, especially their egg rolls and won ton soup. My family and I have eaten here for years and their new/second location in Kingwood is so convenient. The wait staff is tenured and remember my order, which is so impressive! Highly recommended trying them out, even if it is just to go!
