I LOVE Prohibition! Attempted to go this past Friday for Happy Hour, only to see they were closed (windows papered, lights off, no patio furniture). Does anyone know if their closing is temporary or permanent?

Sheikh decor, kitchen staff is nice, fancy drinks and 50 cent oysters all day Monday and 4-7 Monday-Friday. Gulf Coast oysters are just as good as East Coast oysters imo.

I recommend the happy hour! Had a delicious rye whiskey old fashion, and several dozen oysters at 50 cents each. Food and service was overall very good. Knocked off a star because we tried ordering three offerings from their menu and all three were unavailable. As a result, they were nice to give us a complimentary dish, which was the fried shrimp (also delicious). Fun place to try it if you're willing to go through the hassles of downtown parking.

One of the best Oyster Bars I have ever ate it. The deviled oyster eggs are scrumptious!!!

As the night got later- the delicious surprises got even better. From a chef inspired oyster melody to an artistic twist on several cocktails- the food and drinks were amazing. Enjoyed conversations with both Chef Derek and Bartender Mario. They both gave us special attention with their detailed descriptions of the food and the drinks. Atmosphere captivated the prohibition theme nicely! We’ll return.

I love the happy hour at the Oyster Bar at Prohibition! Every week my boyfriend and I enjoy 50¢ delicious oysters and HH drinks at this fun bar. The staff is warm and welcoming and thoughtful. They just added some items to their menu and the burger we shared last night was absolutely delicious!!
