I live in Missouri City and I don't mind driving the distances to eat at The China Cottage. Really enjoy this place.

The lunch price is affordable, the portion is large, and it tastes good. It's perfect as a work meal. The service attitude doesn't matter to me. To be honest, I just come to have a meal and then leave. I don't like to be disturbed while eating, so I think it's okay.

As the son of the co-owner of the restraunt, I have to say the reviews from 2 years or older are quite outdated. Our owner got changed about 2 years ago.
(Also keep in mind one of the last at the front desk does not speak English well)

One the best Chinese spots I’ve ever been to. The food was delicious, fresh, and amazing. I ordered to go, it was ready quick and no mistakes.
Everything I ordered was so good, the orange chicken, Lo mien, beef and broccoli, and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend, this is a treasure and great example of Chinese takeout!

I was running some errands with my daughter today and found the China Cottage Restaurant. I was buying other food around the area but the pictures on the window were calling for me! The location is easy to find and there was plenty of parking in the front. I ordered some of my favorite dishes to see if this is a restaurant I want to visit again. I ordered Cheese Puffs (5 per order) and Soft Shrimp Rolls (2 per order). The restaurant was very clean and my daughter was attracted to the cute Chinese Waving Hand and a cute little fish tank. I waited patiently for my order and well the wait got a little longer than expected. Luckily, my daughter was entertained but I sat there for a little while for only two small orders. I give this location a 4 due to the wait time. I saw others that came by and picked up their orders and maybe if I order in advance my experience would have been different. I do have to say that the staff was very friendly and a nice waitress gave my daughter a fortune cookie while we waited. As for the food, the Cheese Puffs were very tasty and fresh I like to think that wait had something to do with it! As for the spring rolls well they were ok but not my favorite. The peanut sauce was a bit too sweet and the spring roll fell apart a bit. I love spring rolls and I am just being a hard critic. Despite that, I do recommend this restaurant as the cheese puffs were great and maybe other dishes are as delicious!

Pickup always ready on time, food is great for standard Chinese food. The chicken is flavorful and the people are very friendly. I usually get at least 2 meals out of the generous serving size.
