Hungry Farmer Bbq

Pretty taste cheeseburger! Low-key, comfy place. Looks like it's been here for decades. Friendly staff calls out your order to kitchen staff on PA system, like the old days; no fancy system. I liked that my credit card receipt didn't have a spot for Tips. Just the total amount and done. Tip cash if you like, no invisible pressure. Great menu of BBQ, fish, baked potato, sides, and more. The guy next to me got a baked potato and it looked amazing. Gotta return.

Had the best experience in years, Samantha was so helpful. In the 20+ years I have been going to Hungry Farmer I have never been had someone so helpful explaining things to me. In previous times going there, I would place my order and deal with a robot no conversation not nothing. Happy to see y’all have someone like her at the Crosstimbers location.

When we go we usually get the hungry (farmer?) Combo. It's very filling. I love their sweet potatoes/yams and cooked cabbage. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of their food. Bear in mind, this is inexpensive bbq. The meats aren't as tender as say.. Pinkerton, but the value for money, in my opinion, is definitely worth coming here, plus the sides are better 😈

Upon arrival the parking lot had availability which was great and convenience. There is outdoor covered patio for dining outside. I must say it is well kept out there. There was minimum waiting. I ordered a spicy sausage link sandwich. 😋. This link sandwich had a real smoke flavor not overbearing and not dry at all. The amount of links on the sandwich is a good amount for the price it cost.$10.78. Also the peach cobbler here is some of the best I've tasted in a while 😋 😋. I broke bread with my co worker and hands down we like it here. Hungry Farmer is hands down one of the best places to eat real food that's actually been around. I will be back and have recommended the staff at the office too.

Last time I ate at Texas BBQ was 12 years ago and finally br able to eat again during my visit in Houston, TX. In the past, I went to Rudy's but people said that the quality had decreased over time and the meat was dried. Decided to try at this restaurant, no regret. The meat was not dried at all and delicious. Really recommend eat here. The sauce was yummy as well.
