Service was meh. No one to seat you or take order. Everything is by scanning, which is fine if someone tells you that. Maybe cause they are the only restaurant in that area of the airport. But, the food was so fresh and yummy. Made up for the lack of service.

Hugos at IAH Airport, Intercontinental side the service is slowwww. No one comes to help. Everything is supposed to be done electronically. How was I supposed to know. I had a question. Before I ordered, I couldn't get any help. The saving grace was my bacon wrapped shrimp tacos. They were delicious. Although the black beans looked DRY, they were good. The price was ok priced for airport food. I wouldn't eat there again due to customer service. And there were plenty of empty tables.

Had a decent little quick beer here. But there was already a delay of 15 minutes or more right at the gate for food. Pretty unacceptable at 3:30 in the afternoon. Did not feel welcomed by bar staff who seemed a bit flustered in overwhelmed. Not to say they weren't nice but that they were without a doubt not enjoying themselves

I was surprised how tasteful were my enchiladas. I am normally not very enthusiastic about mexican or tex-mexican food and even less sympathetic about restaurants in the airport (travelers’ traps, in general). To pair with this bias, average scores for Hugos were at 3.3 level. What could I expect? So, a positive surprise was the outcome of my enchiladas… and the fried beans were amazing but at a really reduced volume, unfortunately… I would give 5 if more beans were in my plate…

Okay option while you're waiting for your flight. We ordered a Queso Flameado for a late lunch and it was good.

I had to grab some breakfast while waiting for my flight and saw Hugo's. To order you need to scan the QR code and open the app. The process was easy and quick and my breakfast was brought to me in about 5 minutes after ordering. I ordered the huevos rancheros which where served on a tortilla shell. I ad no idea what to expect but found myself pleasingly surprised how well this meal tasted. There was a slight spice that really gave this plate a kick. I need to get the recipe. The waiter was also attentative which I give him credit since the place was busy and I only saw two waiters. Thumbs up.

The only sit down food place in terminal D. I got to the entrance and there is nobody to greet you, all the staff see you waiting and say nothing (I stood looking around for 5 minutes while the staff just attend to other guests while passing me at the entrance). Anyways I went to sit at the bar and made sure I sat close to the bartender so I wouldn’t be ignored there too. But she was great! Super attentive. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt and it was perfect. Waitress offered guac and chips, guac was good chips were crispy. For my main I had the Torta Auguacarte Hongos y Quesao it was bomb! The bread was warm and soft the veggies and cheese was firm and melted well together. I’d recommend and old come back (just go grab a seat anywhere next time).

Nice and cozy place and almost the only option in terminal D departure. Super crazy helpful waitress. My only complain was that they didn't have any dessert or anything sweet to offer. Which is a shame for a place like this. Other than that I enjoyed the food.
