Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant

This is my second time eating at Hai Càng Restaurant. From the moment I placed my order until the food was set on the table, it took less than 15 minutes. OMG, they have hired awesome chefs cook, and friendly staff make you feel very comfortable and enjoy the meal. To be honest with you, a few people gossiped about Hai Càng Restaurant, which made me hesitant to come, but the restaurant is not what I heard. You don't know until you try and see it with your own eyes.

We are Cantonese from Austin and we have a good family dinner here. We ordered two lobsters in two flavors, one is fried lobster with ginger & scallions, the other is fried with XO sauce. Both are delicious! We have the Chef Special Chicken too. It’s really authentic and it was executed well. The chef and high skills and great experience. We hasn’t have the level of authentic Cantonese dishes for a while.

Wow so amazing! I was recommended this restaurant by a coworker and she didn’t disappoint. The whole restaurant works as one unit, it feel like everyone was our server. So many options that were all equally delicious. If you do go you have to eat family style, your food will come out at different (10-20min) times. It’s worked for us but just a heads up.

From the exterior, the restaurant looked like it would be very small but it was not. They utilized the place very well, with many tables. Very quick service from the moment we walked in until we left. The food was delicious!! It brought back a lot of childhood memories. We ordered ginger scallion lobster, snow peas, and crab over rice. The crab over rice was my favorite. The rice on the bottom of the crab was fried rice. The restaurant has a huge menu but most of the customers ordered lobster and crab from what I observed. I highly recommend people to give this place a try. I hope to visit this establishment again in the future.

Great restaurant. I have been going here to this restaurant for at least ten years now. As mentioned in other reviews, the service is top notch and the staff will recognize you if you are a regular to this place or any other quality asian restaurants in the area. The reason is that this place hires only experienced wait staff that will entertain and take care of you. Now the food is excellently done, maybe the portions are a bit smaller to American palates. Just order more. The fresh seafood availability is posted by the inside entrance. It is pricy. Now demand may be high so be prepared to choose alternatives. I wanted tilapia but had to settle for a fish named gobi. Will not recommend that. In summary, a must go if you want to jave a pleasurable dining experience.
