We phoned at 1730 on a saturday, yet they still found a way to not only fit us in, but to allocate us two separate tables of two (to be billed together) so that my teenage son and his gf could have a date, whilst so could we! As if that weren't enough, the food was some of the best I have eaten in any gastropub anywhere, genuinely amazing - including a sublime salmon starter from a special menu, based on produce from the local farmer's market. They also went out of their way to find out answers to some questions we asked, and the service was impeccable throughout. This place is so good, I almost don't want to recommend it, since it will soon be hugely popular. But, in all seriousness, get yourself down there. Top marks all round, we will certainly be back! :)
Fantastic service every time and the food is delicious and top quality! The Hunters Bar is great for all sports events or for just having a drink. The staff always go above and beyond for their customers and they can do private functions as well. I will happily recommend the Fox and Hounds to everyone as a must try venue!
We stopped in for dinner after trying to find somewhere that was dog friendly & also looked nice. Fox & Hounds was fantastic!

Lovely food and service. Lovely local people to chat to. Only downside, we knew we were eating in the lounge area as we have a Cocker Spaniel but our table for 3 was very small!
The Fox and Hounds regularly wind awards for being the best pub in Renfrewshire, and deservedly so. It’s got lovely atmosphere - particularly in winter with the open fire; friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff (if you want a lecture on single malt whiskies this is the place); local beers on tap (try the Dargavel brewery offering); and dogs are welcome. The food is absolutely top class - we’ve never been disappointed with a dish. There’s a nice restaurant but we prefer to eat in the bar lounge with our Labrador curled comfortably under the table. The Burns night dinner has been our favourite so far. This is our favourite pub ever.
The ramen starter was delicious and very filling. There was a large breast of chicken in the middle of the bowl. The noodles and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The fruit crumble and custard was delicious too. Can't wait to go back.
Connor, Martin, David, Dale, Robin, Cindy and Lauren all make our visits to the Fox & Hounds an enjoyable one. Staff become friends and I have never been disappointed with the experience or food. Vegan options are fab and the staff have extensive knowledge on gin, rum, whisky and cocktails. Such great atmosphere and one of the reasons why visit so often.

Food was excellent and reasonably priced and bar staff and waitresses were great. Will be going back. They have a bar upstairs as well and DJ was good.
5 of us in for lunch/BBQ. Superb food, we all had something different to eat. Attentive staff, food was to perfection. Overall Superb.
We often come here for food and drink. Great atmosphere. Shame they got rid of the old non alcoholic beer on draft - the new one isn't nice! But good that they have it and other non alcoholic options. Food is good too.
