Solid lunch spot near my work. A classic cafe that does what it says on the tin, great value, simple food. Lots of locals with a good atmosphere too.

The price is reasonable, I think the Georgies is the cheapest restaurant in Brighton. The owner is super kind and friendly, but a fly in the ointment is that it's cash-only.

Pretty sure this has usurped Peacehaven's Pantry Cafe as my favourite fry-up purveyor. And it's flippin' good there.
I love this Cafe! The menu is so reasonably priced and cooked fresh to order! A family run business which is a rare thing these days!!!! Fab menu fab prices! Highly recommend!

Me & my wife love George’s cafe. Particularly the bubble . Great service honest food. Fair prices.
The food and coffee were lovely but there was a long wait for our food. Staff very friendly and everything was clean.
I have been eating there for 22 years the food is superb all freshly cooked, large portion the salad is amazing,and the dinners also, the family that rin and own it are terrific,tbe prices are great

Me and my partner love to come here for breakfast/brunch. The staff know us by name and we order the same breakfast every time. To me its the best place as the big breakfast offer you get 2 sausages, 2 bacon, plum tomatoes, 2 eggs, toast, beans with tea/coffee or squash for £6.50, the hash browns are £1.20 extra but you get three of them per portion.they are really nice too and it is all cooked to order. So relax, enjoy the atmosphere, the staff are lovely.
if you want fast food like McDonalds then go to McDonalds
But if you want a good english breakfast then this is the place! the chef cooks your food to order with love and care
it can take sometimes 10,20 or 30 minutes maximum depending on how busy the chef is.
The breakfast is hot, tasty and NOT greasy which is nice as you can taste everything. The bonus also is there is no cut off time for breakfast unlike some other places on George st.
If you want to have a lye in and you wanna wake up at 12pm and go for breakfast at 2pm you can with this lovely cafe 😁.

They do other things apart from breakfast like for example roast dinner or jacket potato with filling or omelettes with chips or salads or sandwiches/rolls or even desserts. They do have specials which is worth looking at. i cant comment on them as i have never tried, although they do look very nice when ive seen them go to other customers.. They also have a kids menu. Honestly this is the best customer service for me and my partner. We tip everytime as the staff are so nice to us. We will keep coming back. We have been coming here at least once a month , for over a year and half now as we like it so much. Its also accessible for wheelchair users. I hope this review helps you and covers everything.
I do like this place, there's no expectations of being prim n proper, it is what it is. Which is good food prepared as you want it, hot, tasty, and served with a smile. What more d'u want. 😁👍
