Beautiful restaurant, with great views out to sea. I had the vegan Sticky Korean Cauliflower, which was huge and extremely tasty. My friend had the vegan Green Glow bowl, which she also really enjoyed. We each had a soft drink, and it came to around £40 including service charge for the both of us, which was fair. Only criticism is that the juice was mainly ice, and so that was disappointing and not good value
Absolutely our new favourite restaurant! The smell is absolutely beautiful, clean very funky and loved the music! All of the staff members are extremely friendly and attentive! We sat on the roof terrace, the views are spectacular, the food was fresh and absolutely excellent! 1000% would recommend Rockwater even if just for the sunset and some cocktails! Well worth the money!
We were out for a walk along the sea and happened upon this wonderful place. It was a Sunday so they were serving brunch. I ordered a pear and cucumber spritz which was refreshing and not overly sweet. My partner opted for a Spicy Margarita, which had just the right amount of heat. He ordered fish and chips (because that's what American tourists order by the seaside) and I chose the Crab Benedict. It was perfection. The Devon crab had a beautiful assertive flavor that wasn’t lost under the eggs and hollandaise. I could eat that every day. The service was excellent - I'm kicking myself that I can't remember our server's name because she was super. I would definitely return to this spot.
Rockwater has become our firm favourite and never disappoints. We have found the food to be consistent and always to a high quality. The team at Rockwater are helpful and friendly and make the experience enjoyable. The scenery is gorgeous and there is nothing like a Hove sunset. This week we met Julia who runs the bottom floor and her warmth, friendliness and attention to ensure every customer has a positive experience is a gift. We will be back.
Really enjoyed our spontaneous dinner at Rockwater. We didn’t have a booking and were initially seated at the bar (which was lovely despite the little leg-room!), but later moved to a table when it became available. It’s slightly more expensive than your average restaurant in Hove, but the location is second-to-none and it was particularly special to be able to watch the golden hour over the sea from our table.
The service was warm and friendly, and relatively quick for a busy restaurant! Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to help.
I really liked the cucumber & pear spritz (though if I was being picky, the flavours could have been a little stronger) and the Korean fried chicken flatbread was very tasty. My partner’s antipasti pizza looked great, and he thought the blonde lager was excellent.
The whole place was very dog-and-child friendly, and has a really nice vibe. We’ll definitely be back! 😇
Popped in for a coffee with a friend, service was unbelievable. The staff were so so friendly. The coffee was also great. All round, a lovely setting for a catch up. But the wonderful staff were the cherry on top for me :)

A superb venue for any occasion. Unusually styled with natural materials reminiscent of a Dahabiya (traditional Nile Cruise ship). Captivating views of the sea from the upper terrace restaurant with comfortable seating and a welcome breeze created by the clever ceiling design which opened by way of slats.
Warning: not a cheap menu, we had two alcoholic drinks, a bottle of water 3 small plates one King prawns, one burrata, and one bavette steak with two sides of new potatoes and sourdough bread. Two desserts caramel carrot cheesecake and chocolate pudding. AND the service charge added is approximately 12%.
Each plate presented was a miniature work of art, colourful, freshly prepared from high-quality ingredients and filled with flavour.
Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Would certainly return if we were in Brighton again. Thank you very much.
Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Booked table in advance and got a nice spot on the roof terrace.
The staff was very friendly and the service was good and quite fast.
Food is tasty and fresh.
Went yesterday for a birthday suprise for my sister and it did not disappoint. The views are amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Its a little pricey but for the quality and the location, it's totally worth it. The cocktails are amazing too! The solero is definitely worth a purchase! Will definitely be returning.
Insane place down on the water in Hove. Came down for a family dinner on a Thursday night and were very satisfied. Amazing food and atmosphere, showcased particularly by our beautiful waitress Millie who showed outstanding hospitality and customer service.
5/5 can’t recommend enough, even worth a drive from surrounding counties for a waterfront get away
Great atmosphere and location but service is not great....I was waiting my drink over 40 min and asked from 3 different waiting stuff...menu is very limited on the terrace but beautiful view.
A beautiful place right on the waterfront, the seafood bar upstairs was absolutely wonderful, we enjoyed a delicious seafood platter between two looking out across the ocean. The service was great with a special mention to the mixologist Lucien who made us some divine cocktails with a smile.
A definite must visit to anyone visiting Brighton.
Food was great, I had the vegan fish and chips. Slightly pricey but nice food. The windows need a good clean to do the wonderful views justice and the table was dirty - someone said they would come and clean it but they never did, so hygiene was a concern
We went there on a lovely sunny day and enjoyed the vibes and food. A few of the staff seemed a bit new or distracted. We moved tables, and there was a bit of a mix-up(they thought we had left!!), leading to a wait and our food coming out cold. I didn't make a fuss, though, because the food was still spot on.
Came here for breakfast to celebrate my birthday today. I had the smashed avocado which was really tasty and the beetroot latte with oat milk. Great service and views from the terrace x
November 2023. Four months from my previous visit and a zero star review. What has changed? Everything has changed: new layout, new comfortable furniture, happy and friendly waiters, excellent customer service skills. Articulated menu, delicious dishes all day through from early breakfast to dinner. Special thanks to the chef ******! Delicious!
The place is clean and sparkling with joy. Now I can bring my family and children to this place.
Premises are in a working order.
Whoever is responsible for these positive changes is a genius! Bravo!!!
Please repair the 🛗 lift.
I am keeping my 4 months old review to see how much RockWater Hove has improved and became a magnet for locals and guests! XX
I am giving up on this place: rude hostess and waiters, kitchen is cheating on recipes of dishes on the menu, deafening music, broken facilities. Overpriced menu, untrained untidy staff with low self esteem who don't have manners and language fit for the hospitality industry, no ambience in the place, and lack of ambition. Unloved business. Shame!
I am So Happy you have changed for the better version of you!
