I've not tasted a roast dinner this delicious in a long time. We had the pork which was cooked to perfection. Every bit of the meal was a delight to the taste buds 😋 we had lemon and treacle sponge and custard for dessert which was also delicious and a generous serving. The only comment I'd make he
Generous portions. Modules whilst marginally over cooked were very good and the sauce was delicious, as was the bread to mop it up. Veg might have been a little unadventurous, but the Chicken, Lamb shank and Steak pie were all very good. Too stuffed to have pudding!
Great location for great food. Excellent main courses however me and a friend were both disappointed with the desserts. Nationally available ales on tap, why not try some better small local breweries? Pleasant friendly service from all the girls. Good parking and lots of outdoor tables.
We went at lunchtime. The lunchtime menu is a very reasonable price. Portion sizes were large both for the mains and the sweets. Although there were many diners, the tables were sufficiently well spaced so no feeling of being uncomfortably close. Altogether a delightful experience.
Literslly perfect, amazing food, super fast and professional, lovely staff, also great gluten free selection if you are coeliac, will 100% be back
Delicious food and great service, carvery was lovely but make sure to get it early and fresh
The food was good and my sized portions. You knew you had had a proper meal at the end of the evening. I had my old stand by, steak and ale pie, followed by apple crumble. The other 4 in my company all enjoyed theirs too. The only fault was the service was a little slow. The Pub was busy for early o
Great food great service awesome staff....and great place to wild camp though need to book!
Called in for Sunday tea. Modern and clean, but with a traditional feel, this is a lovely pub. It has a campsite out back with lovely views. The food is home made and delicious. At the time of writing, they had a Sunday menu that is £4.95 per starter or dessert and £10.95 for mains. The service was
On our most recent visit we hadn't booked and were a bit last minute so could only choose from a limited menu as they had stated to close the kitchen down, but that said the chicken and ham, and steak pie that we both had were delicious and very generous portions. It was also very good of them to l
If you are passing do yourself a favour and stop here . What a fab spot, from the staff with friendly smiles and quick service, to the scrumptious food with a menu that caters for everyone! The decor is amazing homey and classy at the same time. The view !!!!!! You are over looking the valley it's a
Absolutely stunning views on the campsite, pizza was lovely from the pub.
Stayed in our camper van in the car park grounds. Use of loos when pub open. Plenty of bins and chemical waste disposal too. No obligation to eat at the pub but so glad we did. Lovely home cooked food. Service was great too. It was very busy and the staff never stopped and were so friendly. Lovely o
Called on Sunday for a roast dinner and one of the huge Yorkshire puddings that have been mentioned and photographed on here recently. Disappointingly the only day that they don't serve giant Yorkshire pudding is on Sunday! Seemed a little disorganised but I think there was a few new members of staf
Even though I have only given the food a four star rating, it is generally pretty good. We go about twice a month, and every so often we have a poorly cooked dish where, for example, the veg is undercooked or the pulled beef isn't pulled but chopped into small pieces and tough. Otherwise, it's usual
