It’s always a good day when it’s a Marston’s Chicken day for work lunch!
The chicken is seasoned well with a fresh crispyness to them - you can tell they go through a lot of chicken. The oil it’s fried in is fresh without clinging to the skin - it doesn’t leave your box as greasy as a place like KFC. The wings in particular are really moreish and it’s easy to polish off a large portion quickly. Even without the light batter, the chicken is very well marinated, so it’s still flavourful and moist.
The gravy can be very polarising as some may like the overly-peppery taste, but I can see some finding it a bit too much.
Chicken was really good, I should've tried the sauces with it and might have made the difference.
Great experience at Marston's Chicken Shop! The chicken was delicious with exceptionally crispy skin, and the quality surpassed that of popular franchises. The app made ordering and collection seamless. Highly recommend!
Amazing chicken, and now they've changed the chips, the food is fantastic. Great choices of dips (kept cold in the fridge) including sticky BBQ, spicy mayo, Cajun tomato which are all delicious. Small car park with about 9 spaces, with lots of people eating in their cars. Reliable online booking system where you choose your collection time, but they're still super speedy if you turn up and order on the door.

By far the best chicken I've had from a take away. The chicken wings are absolutely unreal. And the Wrap was well put together with plenty of fresh ingredients. Chicken gravy is like KFCs gravy but even tastier! 10/10 will be back!
I don't live anywhere near Marston's and I've never set foot on their property but my wife (thank you sweetheart) works in Huddersfield and will occasionally bring home 3 pieces of fried chicken legs and thighs for me to warm up in the air fryer. It's a real treat because the fried chicken is without a doubt the best I've ever had. Love it!
We all know marstons chicken is beautiful food BUT why in 2024 in the freezing cold have you still got to queue and order outside when the shop is empty. It makes no sense and is just a farce. Cajun sauce bangs tho
Its a takeaway shop but very very nice food. We went on a Friday dinner and it was very busy and the guy was outside taking orders and the 6 of us got served very quickly. Highly recommend place for us, loved the food
You don't really get an atmosphere from a fried chicken takeaway, but the food is superb! Use the app and order online or be prepared to wait.
OMG best chicken ever travelled 20 mile to come ere after hearing rave reviews well worth it chicken like velvet gravy a little peppery but nice 💯 tried a bit of everything fillet burger and wings better than Krap Fried Chicken by far won't be going anywhere else

Chicken connoisseurs walk this way.. for incredible fried chicken this is the spot. Without doubt 100% worth travelling for 10/10
It's actually not massive on flavour but tastes very homely and fresh. I can't fault it heavily but it's not the best fried chicken in the world either. Chips are good proper chicken shop chips

Best chicken, I have ever tasted. Staff very organised, if you book and pay on line, you are soon served when you get there to pick up. It is always busy but the queue goes down very quickly. The staff are very pleasant and polite always. The only thing is the carpark is too small, I wish customers wouldn't stop and eat in the carpark restricting other cars getting in and out.
Couldn't ask for more if you're into fried chicken, everything tastes fresh and clean and is prepared to order.
The chicken gravy has that perfect thickness and the wings have a thin crispy coating, similar to being double fried, with white soft juicy chicken inside.
Staff are friendly and efficient. Call this a levelled up kfc with all the home comforts and personal touch, would highly recommend calling or booking in advance for swift pickup
this is the first time I’ve been here there was about 5 people in the queue so I thought I would be here for a while but very quickly got out because of the staff are like robots very impressed I was out in 2 minutes I took the meal home but the chips were cold but the chicken was very nice I will not get chips again but I will get more chicken next time very nice place thank you
