Superb stay for our anniversary, excellent food if a little expensive, superb atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable but a little tired, not a problem as we expect they will be refurbished. The pub is excellent. The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Great parking. Will definitely be back.
The building itself was beautiful. Our table service person was still learning his craft so wasn't sure about a few questions, i.e what was the soup today, do you do zero alcohol lager? etc.
I ask if it was possible to light the fire near us,as some people were a little cold. The fire just needed a match as the paper and wood were there prepared. On checking for us he returned , we were told that the paper and wood were out of order, so it wasn't possible to light the fire.
The place is amazing, I have just spent one night and had a great sleep. Room was comfortable, had all the pamper in the bathroom too.
The food was also very tasty, I had a chicken curry and the flavours were spot on, the meal was delicious, the portions were a bit large for me.
The staff was very kind, and helpful.
If I am here around, will be coming back again.
We had booked a time for Sunday lunch and our table was ready on our arrival. Our food and drink orders were quickly taken and served without any delay. The waitress was very efficient and pleasant.
We went there just after a funeral. We had not arranged it either. They gave us our own room for about 20 people. No cost either. Great food brilliant service and very accomodating. Some guests even stayed over night. 5 stars.
I came here for my cousins 18th birthday family meal. Tracy was very attentive and efficient, patient and friendly. Much appreciated with our picky requests! Nothing seemed too much trouble for her. The food was fresh, good sized portions and very tasty! Lovely atmosphere. We will be back for the next family birthday meal.
We've had a lovely dinner at Foxglove. Starters and mains were nice, although the portion the sweet potato fries seemed to be only half and we got normal broccoli while on the menu it listed tenderstem but once mentioned, the lovely waitress sorted it all for us. Reasonably priced foods, good portion.
Beautiful looking building and just as good inside. Staff were really nice friendly and helpful.our double room was very clean well kitted out and comfy. Breakfast was really filling sausage bacon mushrooms hash browns baked beans fresh cooked tomatoes and fried eggs with toasted sour dough bread. Like to thank everyone fir a wonderful stay.
We booked a meal here as my dad was staying at the lodge. Great food and atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Our furry family member was welcome in the bar area and spoiled rotten. Thanks, we will definitely visit again. 🐕👩🎤👩⚕️🧔👴
Lovely old fashioned pub well kept ataff very polite and friendly. The food is excellent and the beer well kept me and my wife will debe having date nights here would highly recommend and dogs are welcome and big garden area for kids to play.
