This is a fab little find tucked away off the beaten track. With a vast selection of different food options and a very wide array of cakes - including gluten free - Dearne Lea Team Rooms serves delicious food and the service is fantastic. The cheese and pineapple toastie and chocolate orange cake are particular favourites. Little touches like having fresh cream straight from their dairy on the hot chocolates makes this place stand out from the rest. There is a dine-in area which looks to have about 15-20 tables and is always really busy but they also serve food to take out, plus in summertime they have various flavours of ice cream to help keep cool. The service is great, and the dark haired lady (who we think might be the manager or owner) is always so friendly and welcoming. We found the prices to be very competitive and you get a lot for your money. Initially we just thought they did ice creams only - it would be worth the owners investing in some new signage either on the main road, or near the track off the road to the farm, so that people are aware that they do so much more than just ice cream!

You won't leave hungry if you visit. Everything home made, including icecream, seems to have butter (again home made) in all baking. Teacakes for big appetites and do they know how chips should be fried. Friendly staff and you don't wait too long to be served. Prices are sensible for home made quality food.

This review is more about the people who work there as opposed to the food, etc. Unfortunately, a member of my family has become blighted with a very nasty illness, Dementia 😥. As anyone who knows about this illness can confirm, the sufferer can, and sometimes, does do many things that is out of character for that person, well that happened for us. The person in question went 'walkabout' and was providing difficult to locate. After a few worrying hours, we received a phone call from Dearne Lea Tea Room & Ice-cream parlour letting us know that the missing person was there, several miles away 😲. We went to collect the missing person and, apart from being delighted to find our family member, we were just as happy to meet these beautiful, fantastic people who had been looking after them ❤️. They gave us a rundown of events that led up to how the missing person came to be in their care. They gave him food and drinks to keep him comfortable (it was a very cold day, and he wasn't wearing suitable clothing). On numerous occasions, we offered to pay for the food and drink that they had provided, but every time, they refused. As previously stated, I personally can't comment about the food or drink because I didn't have any, but what I can comment on is just how clean and welcoming the place was. SPOTLESS! The only person in this story who could testify just how good the food, drink, and staff are is now safely back home, but doesn't remember it 😥 🤷‍♂️

On this occasion we only had and and ice cream. Which are always gorgeous and very good value for money. You can also visit and watch the cows being milked.

Absolutely beautiful cakes and food, generous portions, we had meringue nest fresh fruit and cream and the tastiest moist chocolate fudge cake 😋 the staff were super friendly. Definitely be returning, we loved it there and you can see the cows and dairy farm attached from the outside 🐮

Love this place. Took little one (age 5) for his first visit today, before getting an ice cream we popped up to the viewing gallery so he could see where the milk came from. He was very excited to watch the cows as they came and went, being prepared for milking and of course the milking itself. He then excitedly skipped round to choose his ice cream. A great adventure and learning activity for families.

Lovely little place, it's always a must for every school holiday treat and when we have friends and family gatherings. Highley recommended and they don't scrimp on the ice-cream. Lovely helpful staff. A big hit for our littlies because you can visit the calfs. Pre covid you could watch the cows being milked too.
