The Travellers Rest, Meltham

One of my favourite pubs in the area, not least of all because of the amazing views. Beer garden is ace on a nice day. I also had my 40th Birthday Party here, as I wanted to share the beautiful surroundings with my friends and family. The pub allowed me to book the bottom half of the pub out for a few hours. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to bring our own food. Thanks for helping to make my 40th really special.

Great place. Warm, cozy, great atmosphere, good pint, staff great. Family stayed in the rooms, which were great too. Lovely location. Only thing missing IMO is some food. A basic 3 by bar menu wouod add some real extra value and excuse to drop in/stay a little longer. Fabulous hidden gem for 'out of Methamers' cheers all. James and fam. X

Went with some friends for the pop up Greece food event, fantastic food (which even had a vegan option, very impressed). Lovely place with great views and friendly staff. Plenty of seating outside if the weather is good with nice views of the countryside. The pop up food events are a great idea and even if the weather is poor it's lovely sitting inside with a warm atmosphere and lovely cheerful staff. Everything was clean and cosy, perfect place for a stop off on a walk.

Very nice spot for a drink. Came recommended. Lots and lots of outside seating with views across the fields and valley. Naturally gets busy in good weather especially. Good selection of real ale. Best nominate a driver if you fancy a few as the walk up to it can feel a long one! Would have been 5 stars and stayed longer if food was offered for sure.
