Took my 9 year old pumpkin picking and to do the Halloween trail today - everyone was lovely! Only downfall was when I asked the women at the kiosk if you could pay via card she said no and then went on to serve other people using card payment! Very strange!
Lots of activities during the Easter holidays. Big play ground for the kids to blow off steam. Little cafe with simple snacks and drinks and NOT over priced, which is perfect. There is toilet facilities. Car park isn't huge but we had no problems parking.
Brilliant playground used by kids of all ages. Only open during half term which is the only fly in the ointment unfortunately. Activity sessions are brilliant, our kids really enjoy them.
My son has just come back from his residential and has had a great time. He got to try a range of activities from archery to sailing on a reservoir and also enjoyed staying at the house with his school friends where they played games and had a few cheeky late nights. Worth a visit. Great play area with plenty to play on for hours. food/drink truck in the play area. Free parking Unfortunately on the day we went it was closing at 12pm due to a private event.
Attended a management meeting here. Great venue with lovely views of the grounds. Large meeting room with a screen for presentations. Tea, coffee and homemade biccys. Dinner was a one course Christmas Dinner, fresh cooked food with loads of sprouts. Excellent location and staff. Easy to park. Thank
Wonderful field study centre run by the local authority, with ponds, woodlands, adventure playground, lab with field kit and microscopes, and dormitories and catering for schools staying over.
Brilliant time at Cliffe house today doing bushcraft. Learned how to light a fire then toasted marshmallows and cooked bread over the fire. Great learning experience for the kids.
