Called in for fish and chips today and may I say it was the best fish and chips I've had in a long long time well done Golcar fisheries.

Visited today for the first time ever whilst working on the co-op next door and felt an overwhelming nostalgia, the only thing missing from this place to make it a traditional northern chippy is newspaper. If it had been wrapped in newspaper I could've easily felt like I'd gone back in time 30yrs. The quality of the food is 10/10. It's a good job I live so far otherwise I'd be piling the pounds on.

My first visit as I only visit Golcar occasionally. Had a bit of a wait, 10 min, as we arrived at the back of a customer rush. The wait was handled very well and professionally by the owner so was not an issue whatsoever. The plus side was very freshly fried fish and chips which were delicious. I get the impression though that they're always freshly fried, wait or no wait.
Next time I'm in Golcar I'll visit again.

Great food and great service. Can't ask for more, the Golcar Fisheries are the best takeaway for that type of meal, if that's your choice of the day. Well priced, and ease of access for disabled people's.
