Friendly service, very reasonable pricing and great live music. There's an outdoor platform by the river which offers lovely views in the summer evenings.
Unpretentious pub with regular bands and musicians. Don't have their own food but have arrangement with local takeaway who deliver to the pub. But the best part is the outside deck which looks straight down the river with fantastic sunsets
Awesome venue. Didn't eat so can't comment on food but the staff were amazing and atmosphere was great

We stumbled across this place and we will definitely be going back.
The Smugglers Den, full to bursting with live gig events. Located beautifully with seating on the waters edge, adjacent to local nature and woodland. The Smuggler Den management, staff and locals are friendly bunch, welcoming and a pleasure to know.
Overall a very enthusiastic place, and an atmospheric pub on event nights.
Family and live music venue all good people are welcome including happy dogs!

A very old 'hang out' of many years ago,'Hullbridge motorcycle club' some 40 odd years ago,long defunct,it was a reunion.
