We stayed in The Sett, an ideal family room for the four of us. Clean, with plenty of towels and bathroom products. We received the loveliest welcome .... would highly recommend and hope to return soon!
Had a wonderful lunch here on Wednesday it was delicious and the service from the lovely lady serving was super too ! Well worth a visit . We all had fish in cider batter and chips they were really excellent. The coffee was amazing too !
Great pub, great food. Nice atmosphere. Parking. Beer garden.
Just off the M4 so a really convenient place to meet. Took the dog for a walk along a public footpath around a beautiful field before taking her to this dog friendly pub where I met up with family I had the small portion of scampi and chips which was perfectly adequate and left space for the delicio
Always great place to eat, service is friendly and always made to feel welcome.
Very friendly pub very nice food and easy to find
We stopped for lunch. And we are so glad we did. Great food, very welcoming and wonderful staff. Would highly recommend the Tally Ho. As we didn't stay we haven't an experience of the rooms but if we had stayed I am convinced we would have been very comfortable
Friendly pub . Good food. And apparently owned jointly by local residents. Great 💡 idea.
A really decent community owned pub, we were immediately welcomed and offered advice on the beers at the bar, good to see local beers on offer too. Comfortable surroundings, light and airy considering many period beams etc. The food menu should offer something for everyone, expect British pub offer
Good traditional country comminty pub wherr food is reasonable priced owned by the local villagers. A convivial atmosphere and open log fire for those cold winter days. Excellent stop-off (one mile south of J14 of M4) to break up that long journey or a stop over in one of their excellent en-suite ro
We've driven past this delightful pub many times on our way to Hungerford, however never actually visited! As such, we booked a table for two at the last minute, and a dog. A couple of hours later, and we were in The Tally Ho for our September 'date night' meal, with the dog! Upon arrival, the ca
This was a great find. From the booking a table ( 30 mins grace was given as 2 cars were arriving from opposite ends of M4) to the lovley desserts- my Apple and Summer Fruits crumble was a perfect mix of sweet and sharp we received first class service in a friendly atmosphere. The dog also had thi
Great little pub! Good homecooked real pub food, with generous portions. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. A welcome change to a lot of the stuffy upmarket "pubs" in the area. You can actually pop in for a pint at the Tally Ho without having to book a table or being squeezed into a corner. Ju
Very good food and a fair choice of good beers from an unassuming little pub. I ordered the cod and chips, got plenty of food, nice fish, excellent chips. Good desert too. Think everyone in our party was happy.
We ended up stopping here after our car broke down on the M4 (autistic toddler, newborn and a dog in tow) we managed to crawl off the motorway and found what I can only describe as heaven amongst absolute chaos. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and so understanding while we hung around waiti
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Brilliant service. Great selection of food; we really enjoyed our meal. A hidden gem of a retreat just off the bustling M4.
A return visit after some time away. We were there for Sunday lunch and it was excellent, food with drinks and service. Can recommend highly. Didn't stay over.
