A great place to rest awhile in between browsing the myriad cabinets of Anitiques and Collectibles . We have been visiting the Arcade and Rafters Cafe for very many years and have always enjoyed the warm welcome and warming food and drink. It good to see there are still a least some family run businesses left in these old market towns and we are very happy to support \Rafters Cafe in a most ancient building.
Breaking News : So impressed have we been we now even have our own small cabinet of collectibles in the Arcade.

Genuinely beautiful little hidden gem, this wonderful cafe is fantastic.
I'm a burger man and if there is a burger on the menu I will give it a try, I ordered the Brie and Bacon burger - this was easily the best burger I think I've ever had. It was delicious!
Bella Boo, the resident pup was an unexpected treat, bless her. So much like my childhood dog that I instantly fell in love with her.
Lovely overall experience and fantastic food. We will be back 👍

Rafters is a cosy little cafe perched in the timbered roof space of the Arcade in Hungerfod. The friendly staff offer a selwction of simple but tasty foods - salads, ploughman's lunches, toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes, vurgers, cooked breakfasts and cream teas, for example. They have a selection of soft drinks, teas and coffees. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely baked potatoes and such a lovely old style cafe, up stairs above an antiques arcade. Quiet and atmospheric. Loved it.

Rafters is a cosy and quaint little cafe, tucked inside the attic of the antiques store. They have quite limited seating space (7 or 8 tables if I remember right), but the atmosphere is excellent.
Really good variety of hot and cold food on the menu, and at reasonable prices. My friend and I had a toastie, and a cream tea, and everything was delicious! Good quality ingredients and presentation, and it was served piping hot! The staff were friendly and polite.
The only downside I can think of is that they only take cash, but that's not unusual for a small café. Bottom line is, we will definitely be going again soon!

A small cafe up in an attic area inside a shopping arcade - hence the name. So, you need to watch your head. There aren't that many tables so you may have a problem at busy times and it's very popular. Try the fresh and tasty cheese scones. Hot chocolate could have been a bit thicker.
Note that they only take cash.
