Spent a couple of nights there. Hotel is Victorian so expected stairs and corridors. All very clean, as was the room and bathroom. Quiet enough. Decor and furniture more than adequate.
Breakfast was fine and the poached eggs were spot on. Evening meal was well priced and tasty. Service was good despite being understaffed due to sickness.
Staff were polite and helpful. One young lass in the bar could have benefited from front of house training though.
In a prime position for the town and beach.

Because it is an old building, it is evident that it will have some issues, but nothing that affects your stay. The repeal is very warm and ready to solve whatever your problem is. I had a wonderful dinner. The lasagne and salmon was amazing.
We recently went for a four day break to the Golden Lion Hotel. We had requested a downstairs room due to mobility issues, but was told there were none left on arrival, after 24 hours they had managed to transfer us to a downstairs room moving all our luggage and organising everything, this was all done with no fuss and a huge smile from all the staff involved.
Our stay was very relaxing, all the staff were extremely professional and friendly, the room was clean and the food and service excellent. We would have no problem in recommending this hotel for a friendly, comfortable and relaxing stay.

I usually just drink here. The staff are ever so friendly, and helpful . It's usually a nice experience as I usually only drink in the afternoon after walking the dog. But today I tried the steak ciabatta and the steak was so over cooked! And the French fries were undercooked. Massively Disappointing.
Called in to have a drink and get out of the sun.
While there we also had an excellent lunch, including a couple of slices of ham for our dog.
The barman has excellent customer service and was very welcoming, as were every member of staff we met.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hunstanton.
This is a lovely Hotel were the staff are brilliant and nothing is to much trouble. This is our 3rd visit with our dog Holly and this time we had a Seaview room. Lovely and clean. The bar staff are friendly and again nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to our visit again in September for a friend's birthday.
A very nice dog friendly hotel and very close to the beach. The staff were very friendly and had a comfortable stay. Only complaint was the bathroom had a damp smell
