Great building in need of professional traditional historic restoration in some areas. Staff are friendly and food is excellent, especially the Sunday roasts. Been here regularly over many years and the food is generally really consistent, well cooked, and well presented with good portion sizes. Can get quite busy on occasions because of that though, so sometimes expect a wait.

We had our wedding here on 21st October and couldn't fault a single thing. The staff, so attentive, the food was absolutely top notch, every single person was amazing. Special shout out to Amanda who helped us with everything. The finer details we didn't know about, helped us through everything. You are all absolutely amazing and we're so appreciative you helped us make our day go without a single glitch. Thank you all from the now Mr and Mrs McPherson.

Booked a double room for one night. With our 3 dogs.
Plenty of car parking space in the center of town.
Expected a shabby room, but was pleasantly surprised!!!
Got a large room with plenty of space. Ensuite, included iron and ironing board, and hairdryer, plus kettle and drinks tray.
Breakfast was top notch, and plenty........service exceptional.
Bar staff were very friendly and one guy made us laugh a lot!!!
I left my Hoodie in my room on exit by accident........a member of staff found it and went out of her way to return it to me as I was still in the bar.
We thought our stay was perfect.

This is a historical venue and looking at the art on the walls you can see just how historically important this place is.
I ate with family members who came to visit. We had a mixture of dishes including fish and chips, fish cakes and a burger.
The food was cooked to perfection. The service was second to none and I couldn't find fault with it. The manager was extremely polite and accommodating.

We we're in Huntingdon due to a family bereavement. The staff were very friendly, efficient & helpful in fact they were amazing. The food was delicious 😋 and very reasonably priced. Infact we are going back there next week for a few days.

This the second time we have been to The George . This time as well as a drink we stayed for a meal . Food was piping hot and serving staff friendly and polite and made checks to see if we were happy with meal and drinks. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Oliver cromwell is said to have stayed here at some point when setting up his new model army.

I had one night business stay - hotel is in the town centre and close everywhere - parking just outside and complimentary to the stay. Food is delicious.
I had to leave at 5:30 in the morning and asked for packed breakfast - chef doesn’t start until 7 but he was there early just so I can get bacon sandwich - that was such a lively personal touch.
Bed was amazingly comfy, hard mattress and pillows were just right size. One down is that there is no air con in the room (Shakespeare suit) but can was given.
Very pleasant staff both day and night, absolutely exceptional, very warm and accommodating. Will definitely stay again

Lovely service and beautiful building. After a pretty crazy travel day Tony and her staff went above and beyond to make sure that my family and I were taken care of. Please be advised that the hotel does not allow cats but dogs welcome.

A pleasant hotel with charming character, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, located a short walk from Huntington station.
Reasonably priced, with a decent bar/restaurant menu and cooked breakfast - overall an enjoyable stay. Will happily return! 😊
