Review The Horse Inn Hurst - Hurstpierpoint

We went last night and had a great time. Warm friendly welcome from the bar staff, comfortable seating, food was amazing and generous portions, lovely atmosphere. I wasn't drinking but the gin selection in their gin bar area was impressive. First visit to The Horse following recommendation by friends of ours and definitely won't be the last from us Burgess Hillians!

My partner and I popped in for a Sunday roast a couple of weeks ago (we live an hour and an half away but stopped off on our way back from a night away) and it was honestly THE best roasts we’ve eaten out in a long, long time! The beef was cooked to perfection as was the lamb - it was just amazing, we both cleared our plates! Hats off to the chef, I think his name was Peter! The staff were all super friendly, the lady with blonde hair on the bar and waitressing was so helpful, she went completely out of her way to make our visit so enjoyable! The owners were enjoying a Sunday roast too and they were just the loveliest people - you’ve done such a good job! We will definitely be back again soon - maybe with a stay in one of your rooms next time! You’ve got yourself some new regulars, it’s definitely worth the drive! X

Bought the family here as it was a recommendation by a friend. The Sunday Roast was the best I've had. Large portions and the meat was phenomenal. Massive credit to the chefs and attentive welcoming staff. Will be back!

Great, reasonably priced meal (mains are £15-16) washed down by good, local beer in a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. I'll happily return

I was recommended the ribs by a very friendly and helpful bartender. They were amazing. Add the drunken beans for something different. Clean, airy and tasteful decor. 👍🏻

We stayed at the Horse Inn last weekend and we have nothing but praise for the place. We had a Wedding to attend nearby, they let us check in early and talked us through how to get back if we were late home etc, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and very well presented and felt very welcoming. The Breakfast in the morning was honestly the best breakfast we've had anywhere in the world - plenty of food, beautifully cooked! And great choice. The restaurant area was spotless. The Horse Inn had an amazing interior and gin bar that we got to sample too - definitely give it a try. I would highly recommend this place to others as I find it rare to get a place where staff are this welcoming and friendly and food drink and accommodation were top class. If we are ever back in the area I would definitely be back!

I would literally give 10000 stars if possible 🤭 The best place for Food and it’s a 5 minute walk from my house to this pub !!

Didn't stay the night. The food and service was outstanding, can't thank them enough. The only downside was the lack of parking.
