We had a lovely meal here. Salma was attentive and the food very tasty. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but they had a great selection of non alcoholic cocktails. We wish the restaurant every success. We will be back. Thank you. Regrettably Now Closed

Lovely food, our go-to for Thai. Authentic, cater to our needs for veggie dishes, also appreciate our loyalty to them by letting us try new dishes and helping us with prices. Lovely staff at the till and always appreciate us. Always take feedback on board and we will always be your customer. Thanks again for the lovely food, please tell the man at the till that I really appreciate his service, I forgot his name now, he said he may not see these reviews. However the vegetarian Thai crackers would be a good thing to add the menu for vegetarians as they are nice too. Will be back soon, have eaten from here near 7-8 times!

After a small takeaway last week, went to Golden Spoon with the family to try more items on their menu. The service is amazing. We were treated really well and felt looked after. Staff made sure we were ok throughout. I was amazed to see the feedback I gave from my previous visit was taken and suggestions implemented. Every dish we tried was spot on, the flavours, the portions. We love Thai food in the family and will be going back again. Good range of drinks and a variety on the menu to suit all my family members including the kids. The family are already asking when can we go next 😀

On Sunday 9th October my friends and I tried out the new restaurant Golden Spoon which was previously called Birashwamys. We were pleasantly surprised with the new restaurant shop front and interior design which has been upgraded from the much needed static 1980’s look it had for many decades. In keeping with modern times they also have a flower wall for Instagram lovers! The chairs and tables have been repainted to give a fresh new look. Also the old carpet has been removed and replaced with wood flooring which reflects nicely with the new lighting and mirrors. The cutlery and plates have also been changed to a more modern look. Regarding the food, we were given a set menu of starters, main and dessert. The starter mix contained spring rolls and samosas with salad and 2 sauce options - all tasted very nice. The mains contained green vegetable curry, red chicken curry, beef curry with black bean sauce, chicken noodles and 2 rice bowls. All the curry’s had the right level of spice and flavour and tasted very nice and went very well with the rice. The only dish that could have been improved on was the chicken noodles which tasted a bit dry, but was still a good dish. For our dessert we were presented with a traditional Bengali style dessert which contained mango pieces, sticky rice and cream - this went down a treat! Overall my experience at Golden Spoon was a very nice one; from the relaxed ambience of the restaurant floor to the culinary skills of the new Tia chef, this is a restaurant to revisit as it’s now fast forwarded from the 80’s to current times, levelling up to its competitors!
