We had fish and chips take out this evening.
There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was very much worth it.
The food was delicious, but also expensive. It wouldn't be a cheap lunch out.
We had 2 fish and chips, gravy and mushy peas and came to £27.40.
Gravy tastes like the gravy in a steak pie and was very yummy.
Delicious. Would visit again.

Stayed in mortehoe a week ago and visited Lynbay fish and chips as been recommended. Absolutely first class food have a large seating area as well. Plus they have a large selection of gluten free food as well even gluten free batter.
Excellent service very helpful staff who are a credit to the owner. Will definitely be popping back in the new year. Set in Ilfracombe harbour great setting for a meal either sit in or takeaway.

Went here with a family member who is gluten free. Read online they do gf fish and chips every day of the week. Place seemed popular for takeaway. We wanted to sit in. Wasn't immediately obvious where the seating was (at the back). Food was good no complaints from anyone in our group. We were the only ones dining in when we were there.

We ordered for delivery and the food was perfection. We had the vegan burger and the spicy bean burger with chips each & peas. The vegan burger was the nicest one I’ve tasted and the other half throughly enjoyed the spicy bean burger. Great that there’s vegan options and that they’re this delicious! We loved that the salad arrived in separate pots too for our burgers. Our food arrived super fast and a pleasant friendly delivery! A really great food experience! Thank you

Went for lunchtime fish & chips today. Bit of a wait but meant they were fresh. Best fish & chips I’ve had in ages! The batter was very light & not greasy. Good mushy peas. Empty trays all round!

We had the best Fish and Chips here . We visited Ilfracombe and wanted Fish and Chips at the harbour. My Mum is celiac and they served and advertised Gluten free Fish and chips . We ate inside which at first impression didn't look good as nobody else was dining there , but we decided to eat and we was all so glad we did . The Fish and chips came promptly and the food was so good . The chips freshly fryed and the fish so fresh with lovely light batter it melted in your mouth. Mum loved her Gluten free Fish and chips also. To some review up don't go on first impression because this place is a gem and I'm sure locals do eat here as they advertise.

We’ve been to Lynbay Fish & Chip Restaurant for a few times now and have never been disappointed with the food. Take away and eat in, the restaurant is dog friendly.

Takeaway fish and chips eaten sitting on the harbour wall outside the shop - perfect after a day trip to Lundy. Good flaky fish in crisp light batter. Piping hot freshly made chips. We had cod with small chips - just the right size portion. No chips wasted.

Highly recommend this restaurant!..excellent service and excellent staff…we dropped in without booking and we were made to feel so welcome. Helpful and kind waitress who was just the right level of attentive..absolutely yummy fish and chips the batter was crunchy and golden and the fish tasted so fresh and delicious. Extremely reasonable prices … clean throughout. Disability access throughout and disabled access to the toilets. Car parking would be in the public car park 3 minutes walk along the harbour road. Lovely view of the fishing harbour from our window seat…I expect it would be very busy in the season!! A* place!

We where a walk bye tourist couple . Really friendly staff. We sat inside . The Chips where some of the best we had. No excess grease. I accidentally put on the wrong sauce, was offered a new plate straight away. So also good customer care. I used the toilet facility which was spotless clean.

Not only is this the best chippy in ilfracombe, I would go so far as to say it's the best in the West Country.
Having been to the famous chippy in Paddstow owned by one Mr Rick Stein I can say Eat your heart out Rick this chippy is better. I certainly don't know of a better fish and chip shop.

Friendly staff, proper seaside fish and chips which were beautifully fresh and tasty � generous portion sizes as well! When payment accidentally went through twice staff were efficient and prompt when sorting it out! Will definitely be visiting again soon �

Went for food with the family today and had a takeaway. Firstly the 2 staff members were more interested in talking to each other. Also had cheese and chips that wasn't nice cheese dumped on top not melted. Worst part no please or thank you... manners cost nothing. Won't return

Came to Ilfracombe on hols this week. Made 2 special trips to Lynbay as I’d heard such good reviews & recommendations. Have to agree this place is fantastic for Gluten Free fish n chips, very helpful staff who don’t make you feel like you’re being a pain to order gf. Totally made my holiday to be able to eat “normally” with my family! Thanks guys x

When my daughter (13) was standing in the queue a man asked a question over the to of the frier ,the staff then served the man who passed his money over the frier As he couldn't pay at the counter as that was where my daughter was standing with here money in her hand, people queue and Wait there turn for a reason not for fun .distrusted in the staff also the ignorant man we will never go there again ,as it was the place we always used to go
