Food was good. Table booked for 9. No one to deal with us on arrival.
Presented with menus. Selected dishes, ordered drinks and then ordered to be told oh no..prix five menu has finished. No time availability shown anywhere. So had to chose again.

Had an absolutely delicious meal for our wedding anniversary. I had the most delicious Atlantic king prawns in garlic to start, followed by mouth watering chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese and pistachio wrapped in prosciutto . . . . 100% spot on! Service, as always, was great, ambience lovely
Visiting the area and saw the reviews for this restaurant. It didn't disappoint!! The food and wine were really delicious, the welcome was warm. The restaurant feels very French, could have been in Paris! Can't recommend it enough.
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. Many fish specials not on the online sample menu. A la carte pricing comparable to e.g. Piccolino but Monkman's is in a completely different league. My new go-to special occasion restaurant (plus there's an excellent value set menu for less special occasions!
Authentically French restaurant in Ilkley from food to wine. Flexible menus mean your wallet can flex from solo value thru to a more special evening out with special ones. Friendly and just right attentive staff.

Very lovely French bistro owned by an adorable french couple. Small menu but fresh produce cooked expertly.

If it's still like it was a year ago this is the most unlikely of incredibly authentic and tasty and wonderful French restaurants on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales that you could hope for!
