What a lovely seafood restaurant. The starter (tempura calamari) melted in my mouth and it had a delicious garlic mayonnaise with it. Lobster and langoustines for main- what can I say- divine. The staff were unobtrusively attentive. I would recommend the Rose petal lemonade for those not drinking alcohol. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful place, fantastic food, and the nicest staff you could meet. Robbie, our waiter, was every bit as nice as Trip advisor reviews and I wish I knew the name of the waitress who also served us, as she was lovely too Thanks to you both, and of course to the brilliant chef who supplied the lovely food, A fantastic evening

This wee restaurant is a local favourite. The food is great but actually the front of house service is better. It's rare to find such a presence at the sharp end. Always polite, very observant and busy as a bee in a gentle way. The soup btw was incredible (I've never said that about soup before!). My guests enjoyed wonderful loch Leven mussels and delicious langoustines. I had the duck and it was great although personally I'd rather have it cooked pink than medium. It was slightly over for me but the mash and jus was great. Don't miss Samphire if you're in Inverarary but book ahead to avoid disappointment.

I took my wife and son to Samphire for lunch today as a birthday treat for my wife. The food was absolutely fantastic, so fresh, and simply prepared, the food does the talking, especially the seafood platter. The chicken and duck liver pâté was the best I have ever tasted. The staff are really lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. A fantastic restaurant for a real treat. I would recommend booking ahead for lunch and this is absolutely essential for the evenings. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

A stunningly good (mainly) fish restaurant, with friendly and personable service from a great young team. And although the fish choices are everything you might hope and more, with a choice of market fresh specials in addition, nor are the non-fish choices treated as second class... one of our party enjoyed the best cooked duck he'd eaten in years. A very decent wine list too. A little gem for lovers of fish, and their friends. Highly recommended!

A wonderful experience. The waiting staff were so lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant was small but the hearts of all was large. We had the taste of the loch. It was good, not perfect…mainly down to the sauce. Another indulgence was the 800g pot of mussels. Top quality and the sauce was sublime. I even used the sauce for my platter!! The price was every bit worth it, £90 for the platter, pot of mussels, bread and butter, fries and two drinks!! Thank you staff, this was an absolute joy.

Stunning seafood restaurant on the shores of Loch Fyne. Moules to start which were cooked to perfection and served in an incredible liquor, then whole lobster with fries.

Amazing! Had the pleasure of stopping at Samphire while visiting Loch Lomond. The chef prepared fresh fish batter for us on short notice due to diet requirements. The fish was perfect and crispy, simply amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
