Very cosy atmosphere dog friendly restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The seating area is quite spacious and comfortable and the general feel is very relaxing.
The dog was also provided for with water dishes and a very generous selection of treats.
We were advised to book in advance as the tables for clients with dogs are limited and at certain periods they are very busy.
The restaurant is accessible to less able people and there is generous sized parking area.
Weather permitting it's possible to eat outside.

Good portion size and value got money. The food was a little over seasoned for my liking but kids would love it. Dogs are welcome here.

Sunday Roast…get in early, all the real house made gravy you can pour on it.
Also the properly salted fudge pudding!
The sauces here were on point, as was the roast pork belly.
We rolled out of the Inn into the carpark.
Table service from Tom was excellent.

Popped in for an early lunch after a Saturday morning shopping and it was nice and quiet
Service was great from the waiting staff but for some reason the manager was having a little tizzy and was stomping around grumping at everyone....most unprofessional!
The food was excellent, i had the sea bass and my other half had the gammon....i forgot to take photos i was so hungry!
Dessert was a delicious mini brulee and espresso and himself had a chocolate honey pot which was like a little easter egg ...beautifully presented!
A very pleasant meal.

Food was absolutely amazing. Really good value for money, be sure to check this place out when visiting Inverness out. Made last minute reservations and the staff didnt realise the kitchen closes at 8:45pm (no more food orders aftet this point) however the staff understood our plight and made an exception we were arrived at 8:47pm. Still got served good high quality food, no corners were cut.

Lovely meal with the family here tonight, and Creme Brulee for pudding was particularly nice 👌
I had the Oyster Mushroom Burger for my main, which (as a vegetarian) was a nice change. Pleasant friendly service 🙂
Recommended.

We recently went for a long weekend in Inverness and stayed at one of the Travelodges. Nearby was The Snow Goose so we decided to go there for an evening meal. What a pleasant surprise. It was an excellent choice, from the very start. We were made most welcome at the door, us two humans and our dog. We were shown to our table and made sure we were comfortable. The menu was broad and what we chose was mouthwatering and it left ours and our pet dog Dayly appetites satisfied.
A definite place to revisit if in the area again !

Walked in on a busy night. Met by a lovely manager and served at the great bar staff for drinks whilst they prepared a table. We were served by the fabulous Emma. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I am allergic to Dairy and Emma was so helpful. Whilst not gourmet the food was tasty and plentiful with a really good menu. Great value for money too and on a really cold night the open fire was just perfect.

Service was fantastic! They accommodated us even though it was a busy night for dinner service, but we were not in a rush, just wanted to enjoy our dinner. Food was great and we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. There were two unhappy tables near us with insignificant complaints but our server Tom handle them both well and was again very accommodating to both parties. Highly recommend for a cozy sit down meal in the highlands!

Very handy If staying at one of the 2 hotels nearby. Menu for all tastes. Bar and restaurant area comfortable. Food choice somewhat better than average and no complaints about quantity. Service pretty slick with good humoured servers. Emma on this occasion. Resturant busy today and everyone coped although food temperature suffered slightly. All in all a pleasant experience but if you like a beer keg is the best option. Hand pumped beer used to be available but sadly disappeared.

My 5year old ate all his dinner, but portion was so ridiculously small that he was still hungry and had to get him another dinner at home. Was about 12 pieces of penne pasta in a tiny bowl. Think it cost us about £5 for his "portion". Not happy. I had a chicken pie which I used to love but it definitely did not taste fresh, I couldn't finish it. Really disappointing have had many good meals here before, but haven't been in a long time. Maybe it's just rubbish now, or maybe it's just a hit or miss type place.

Really bad service tonight. No sign up to say what to do so presume you waited at door as normal but no.... need a sign at the door to say go to the bar or someone welcoming you to the restaurant as the welcome wasnt pleasant. Arrived, was told would be a 30min wait which was kind of expected although the place was pretty much empty. Asked woman behind the bar for a menu while we waited and she told me they didnt have any, but a guy went up to the bar 2 seconds after me and asked and got one from the same woman. Sat at table after 20mins. Noticed about 12 empty tables covered with dirty plates and glasses that the staff hadnt cleared. Waited at bar to order food, 3 staff walked past before acknowledging you were there. If they didnt have enough staff, they shouldnt have opened as they have made a bad name for themselves now. No fires were lit or candles on tables, music was on but not enough to have an atmosphere. Changed the way they do tables with buzzers, just point to your table dont actually take you to it etc... 'warm' bread arrived freezing cold but too hungry to send back as took over 20mins for bread to arrive. Mains arrived before they even cleared our starter plates away and got the orders wrong. Bit of juggling with the plates. Asked for tomato ketchup and they serve them in a dish, she took it from a table next to us thats sat empty but dirty for ages, stirred it and gave it to us. I soon told her to get us fresh ketchup but that never happened. Hardened tomato sauce around the dish so must have been sitting for some time. its a shame as used to come here and really enjoy a meal but now we won't be back in a hurry.

Visiting from Canada we had a LOVELY dinner here. My husbands grandpa was literally talking about eating a pork knuckle in the good old days 15 minutes before heading here for dinner. Just so happened they had it on the menu! All of our dinners were delicious with a great atmosphere. I would definitely come back in a heart beat to this wonderful place.

Our favourite place to eat, food is always good the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Lovely place great food, very busy staff, the only down side an obvious lack of staff

Booked a table for 10 people.
I was told that it's table service so the waitress would take our drinks order.
Took a good 10 mins for the order to be taken and another 20 for the drinks to arrive.
Why not just go to the bar instead?
Food order was a big mess. Most items we wanted to order were not available anymore. Why not just tell us what was available instead?
I ordered the Wagyu burger.
I was told it's Indian cow... Seriously?
Food took possibly 50 mins to arrive.
The burger was dry and the brioche was stale.
Onion rings barely had any batter.
Sweet potato fries were okay. Most likely McCains.
I ordered a second Doombar (ale) , but was brought some stout. I returned it and was told that they ran out of Doombar. I didn't order any more drinks.
I went to pay for my order at the bar.
I said wasn't happy with the service I had received only to be to told "sorry to hear that" and be handed the bill.
Absolutely atrocious. Don't bother.

My partner and I have been a few times within the last month and the food has been amazing. Only small issues we had were, the kids pasta was surrounded by water and we waited 15 minutes for a kids ice cream. Maybe kids menu needs a bit more attention but overall very good

It's kinda pub food but one that is actually nice. There are two sides in the restaurant one for "fine" dining and other for casual dining where you order at the bar and food is taken to your table once is ready.
I didn't find it overpriced and portions were well sized. There were quite a few options for vegetarians which is always a good things for me. I had the stuffed pumpkin with lentil Dahl, served on rice which was supposed to be coriander rice but it was just plain basmati. The greens garnishing on top of my pumpkin were a bit off and I just put it aside. Overall my dish was nice.
My husband asked lamb with cheddar cottage pie and veggies. He said it was quite nice too.
I'm planning on coming back to try their other dishes as they all sound interesting.

We were staying at the Holiday inn Express across the car parking lot from this restaurant. This is a convenient restaurant with good parking and a good menu. It you want table service you can sit in the restaurant area. This fills up so book ahead. They have a good number of tables in the bar area so you can eat without reservations. I had a burger and a salad and enjoyed it very much. Be sure and make a reservation if you want to eat in the dining room.

My pork chop was cooked but I don't get why it also included a slice of un-ripe pineapple and an over cooked egg?
For about 30 pounds we bought 2 pints of Guinness and 2 meals: beef steak n potatoes as well as a pork chop with veggies.
The beef steak had a nice gravy taste and fried potatoes are always delicious.
It took about 45 minutes to get our food after ordering.
Our server seemed disinterested in her job.
I won't come here again if I'm in town and should have eaten at Burger King.

I don't think you've got much of a choice than the Snow Goose if you're staying at the nearby Holiday Inn/Travel Inn hotels.
Sitting on a very busy main road into the city of Inverness and behind it a retail park and it's biggest competition, a mega Tesco and a Pizza Hut.
If you're waiting to check in, have some time after checking out or are just stuck for a drink out that way, there's not really many other options.
That being said it's a big old pub, plenty of seating inside and out and there's a reasonable selection behind the bar.
We didn't order food as we saw the food come out and it looked like very uninspired pub grub and not the most tempting prices.
This is not a negative review as the staff were sparse but friendly and it's a useful venue in the area.
A solid pit stop, but not a destination - not when a short bus ride away you're into the city.

We had a lovely lunch at The Snow Goose yesterday.
It's owned (or franchised) by vintage inns so they don't make everything fresh and it is classic pub grub so I've scored it on this basis.
It had a fair few people in for a Monday lunchtime and the fires were lit so it was cosy. I like the decor-all woody and stone floors.
I ordered scampi and chips from the daytime light bites menu and added bread & butter for £1. I got a massive plate so light it was not but it was nice. It was a mix of scampi & prawns and the chips were crispy. Scampi in general is never going to win awards but it's a great comfort food. I didn't really need the bread after all with such a big portion!
My other half had a burger with bacon & cheese. Again, it was a large portion and he didn't quite finish it. He said the burger was nice, not outstanding but nice.
The Snow Goose has been there for years and I've had lots of good meals there and a few not so good. It's near the retail park so handy for going to the cinema or shopping afterwards. As I said at the start, I've scored it in the category that it's in - for pub grub I rate it 4 stars but I wouldn't go for a special occasion or fancy meal.

Not a bad meal. Proximity to the hotel (right out front) was a plus. Travelling with a couple colleagues who were happy to try something close to the hotel after a little exploring Inverness after our flights (lot's of options there and super charming but we opted for walking distance to the hotel). SG is a solid 3 star as you see elsewhere. Friendly staff and good options on the menu. I had the Garlic & Cheddar Mushrooms for a starter and followed that up with Lamb Rump/Cheddar Shepherd's pie.

S other reviews have stated, its very convenient to the Holiday Inn. The selection and quality of food was very good. The only reason it missed out on that fifth star was that our waitress, Kasia, was terrible. Her attention was lacking, she barely listened, we waited a long time for the bill, and I dont belive she gave me decaf with my desert as requested.

A little pricey but a good meal. Very convenient location to the Holiday Inn Express. We did the formal seating one night and casual (order by the bar) the second night; both good experiences, good food. Kitchen closes at 9ish though so it's best to make a reservation or head over early to guarantee food.

The Snow Goose is in between the Inverness City Center and the only other shopping center area in Inverness. For a pub/restaurant the atmosphere was very inviting and the fact that there was a 30-45 minute wait to eat dinner at 730pm on a Wednesday night means they're pretty popular. Overall the ambiance was appeasing, but the food was ok and I wasn't too pleased with the Cod Fish N'Chips in regards to portion and taste, but the fresh chips were quite nice, hence the 3. As I'm in Inverness quite a bit, this is definitely a spot I'll frequent more for business meetings, hanging out with local family/friends, grabbing a drink to watch some sports, or to just hang in the front lounge area drinking some coffee while reading a book.

Standard Vintage Inn (parent company) fair. Not fine dining but equally not McDonalds.
One of the few eatery chains that does cooked-to-a-standard well. Would happily eat here again or at most of their other locations.

A great place for Sunday lunch.
You don't have to book to visit the Snow Goose but it does get busy at peak times and you might have to wait.
The food is pretty good, reasonable cost and the menu changes regularly.
The interior has a real country pub feel, the open fires are fantastic on a cold Highland day.
Just make sure that they have definetely put your order through to the kitchen - twice I've waited over an hour for my order because it didn't go through.

A really nice restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, and also very reasonably priced.
The Snow Goose has a kind of warm, brewsters-style atmosphere, and serves some very nice dishes, not exactly posh nosh, but still very tasty. It's out of the city centre, and so the bar is pretty quiet (although it is the nearest bar to the local cinema complex, so it does get some business from there).
The food, however, is the main attraction, and it certainly delivers, making it popular with families and couples alike. Certainly well worth a visit, and the friendly staff will make you feel very welcome.

Wow! Stopped at this pub after arriving at Inverness airport. We were expecting the usual pub grub type of thing with OK service. We were shown to our seat (by the open fire - big bonus as it was a very cold night) and served at our table very promptly. The food was bar food, but excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

A really nice pub and good place to eat. I have eaten here a few times and enjoyed my meals. I have also been here for drinks before and after going to the vue cinema. The food is good and the drinks are well priced too. Would certainly recommend a meal or drink here.

One of my Favourate restaurants, The meals are really nice for the price, The best feature this place has is the big open log fire that they open up in the winter, Great to get a table near the cosy fire in which is so relaxing. Somtimes theres a long wait for your meal but its well worth the wait,

A nice pub/bar/restaurant to have a good pub lunch. The prices are reasonable but the menu normally stays the same throughout the different seasons. The food is ok can sometimes be tasteless apart from the fish cakes.
