Only had a brief stop-over here but absolutely loved it. The drive in is spectacular. Lovely atmosphere. Nice little bar area and food all looked great. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly (especially the Australian man – sorry, no name!). Will definitely be back to enjoy the walking!

Friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful ground. We had a room for two people. Nice bed, waterheater and radiator were there. Even earplugs were in the room. The Restaurant is not that cheap but still okay. Wished we could have staied longer.

Very friendly stuff! Good meal! We enjoyed our Star very much!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location, good for the West Highland Way as well as The Great Trossachs Way. Interesting to stay in a converted church.

Amazing Food. Great Staff. Peaceful Location!! In love with the Camembert!! It is too die for. Chef Specials are always banging!!! Everything on the menu is great can not fault any of it and I have tried it all multiple times The soup vary from day to day due to popularity. Have not had one bad combination yet. I have recommended to anyone in the local area but none locals. It is definitely worth the trip!!!

A really great place to stop by for dinner. It’s quirky, characterful, and has a great atmosphere of somewhere between a casual, accommodating, hostel, with a fancy, quality, restaurant. The service guys went above and beyond to help accommodate for us - including one of them going round to our local Airbnb accommodation to switch on our hot tub for us as our host was away and was unresponsive & he knew her - what a kind gesture ! Thanks for a great evening, great food & a great experience.

This hostel is a food and comfort oasis after clambering around loch Lomond!! The vibe of the bar/restaurant is great, with these beautiful stain glass windows that accompanied the best burger I've ever had. The staff was so kind, and if you're hiking the West hiking way DEFINITELY get a takeaway lunch from them. They include these insane breakfast bars, my partner and I each got a different one and they were the best treat we had in the whole trail. I cannot recommend this place as a stop enough!! The best hostel I've been to!!

Very nice place. I was camping there for 1 night. The bathroom and toilet were very clean. The restaurant was really delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're walking the WHW it's a little bit of road and uphill but it's worth it.

The best accommodation we experienced during our West Highland Way hike, from Kinlochleven to Glasgow. You'll find tiny but sufficient rooms for yourself and your group, along with pleasant showers and a well-maintained infrastructure. The food was excellent. An absolute recommendation (10/10)!

Great place to stretch your legs after a day of hiking along Loch Lomond. Delicious food and beer can be ordered in the cozy restaurant upstairs. Shower, campsite and other amenities were top notch. Had a wonderful time staying at Mark's place!

this was our first stop on the west highland way. It’s a little up the road from the Inversnaid Hotel, but you can call the bunkhouse and someone will come pick you up (wish we knew that earlier). We camped there on the small but very neat campsite. Perfect place to pitch your tent (soft grass) surrounded by laundry lines to hang up washed stuff. Beware that there may be a lot of ticks (and midges)! The campsite is right in front of the bunkhouse, access to showers and toilets like everyone else. The facilities are very clean and the showers (usually) hot. There are a few picnic tables in a pavilion with a mosquito net around it, so it makes cooking a little less nasty (concerning the midges). If you don’t want to eat your hiking meal I can strongly recommend their kitchen, as they serve dinner and breakfast and also offer to pack lunch. We had dinner there and ate the burger, which was absolutely fantastic. You’re also welcome to just chill out and sit on the sofa without ordering anything. Their cakes are also very yummy. The entire staff is so friendly and are happy to give tips and advice. I caught a cold and asked the staff if they could make me a hot toddi (whiskey with honey and hot water and lemon) and they were happy to do that. We met lots of likeminded people and really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend staying here 10/10.

Friendly staff, great food, snug but warm rooms. The Bunkhouse was a good place to stay - a ~1km uphill walk from the West Highland Way but the atmosphere, friendly staff and great food were worth the extra walking. The rooms were on the smaller side, and suffered a little from noise from the restaurant/lounge above, but were warm and pleasant. The showers and toilets were clean and well maintained. My only complaint was the receipt and website said there was a hot tub which is currently not running :-(

At first the room appeared somewhat small for the 5 bunks in there but they were surprisingly comfortable. I'm 6ft 3 and has a great night's sleep. The showers and toilets were impeccably clean and the food was fantastic with plenty of vegetarian choices. Great beer choice from the fridge to. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

What a great place to stay along the WHW. Rooms were as simple as needed, everything in quality condition. Meals in the common room/restaurant/bar were excellent. I'd highly recommend this plate as a more affordable and worthwhile alternative to the hotel.

Beautiful hostel for an amazing price and direct pick up at the end of the West highland way. The service is great and the food a dream. Definitely recommend staying here.

This is a very sweet little place—modern in most ways except the fact that the shower house is not connected with an indoor corridor. The food is very tasty and the staff are wonderfully personable. A few things I didn’t like—it felt like I was being nickled and dimed with high surcharges for a towel; the triple high bunk beds leave no room to sit on the bed and there is next to no space in the room to sit; there is no access to the lounge area when the kitchen is closed for the day; and the extra walking uphill at the end of a day hiking the WHW was a bit too much given the price. I would probably stop by for a meal but not necessarily for an overnight next time.

We were doing the west highland way and what a welcome we got from the staff would recommend for that alone, great service from getting us comfy with a drink straight away(alcoholic or soft) before doing the tour, great facilities phenomenal food(I had venison stew it blew my taste buds away) and just a fantastic place to stop off on the way. Could not recommend enough. They also offer a collection drop off service where possible which is incredible if needed. Thankyou all for a wonderful never to be forgotten experience.keith and genna

I debated posting this review, purely (and selfishly!) because I wanted to keep such a nice thing to myself. But that wouldn't be fair to the people that make this place so perfect, nor you, a potential visitor. Wonderful things should be shared! This place is genuinely incredible. My partner, a friend and I were on our 2nd leg of the West Highland Way (from Cashel Campsite), and this was our stop for Night 2. I had no idea what to expect, but after 14 miles alongside Loch Lomond through beautiful summer rain, shelter and a warm meal was all we really needed. Arriving at the Inversnaid Hotel at the bottom of the hill, we questioned taking a seat and having dinner there instead - granting us energy for the not-insignificant hill that preluded the bunkhouse. Very happy we waited though. Seeing the cute church when we crested the hill was a grand enough site. Being given an exceptionally warm welcome, and then shown our room, the facilities and of course the restaraunt just made us all feel so immediately comfortable. The entire place is utterly charming and adorable. After showering and getting our moldy gear into the dryroom, we all headed upstairs to the "Top Bunk Bistro" to enjoy a meal - the food and service there were both exceptional. We felt so at ease and cosy, I genuinely couldn't have asked for anything more. Breakfast the following day was also a wonderful start, and the lunches they prepare (on request) were incredibly cute too. They all came in little brown bags - felt like we were heading to school for the day. All this to say...Thanks so much to everyone there for making the place so lovely. I meant it when I said I wished you could just come with us along the rest of the trail. I had no idea then that this would've been not only the best accomodation we'd have stayed in for the whole trail, but one of the best bunkhouses I've stayed in ever. If we'd known that, we likely would've stopped the West Highland Way there and called it a day.

Great stay at Inversnaid bunkhouse, in clean and tidy bunk room with good bathroom facilities. Fantastic bistro in the upstairs of the old church, with great atmosphere and vibe, friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food.

High quality food, great portion sizes, excellent packed lunch with a slice of cake that would feed four 😍 the beds are incredibly comfy, bathrooms and showers very clean. The building itself is just stunningly quaint. The best part though is the bunkhouse team, they are friendly, informative, willing, kind and just a wonderful bunch of people. Thank you for a most excellent stay.

Superb place, clean, warm, relaxing set up and great tunes. The food was out of this world and the staff absolutely sound as a pound….as we say back home. I’d have given them 5 stars if there wasn’t an extortionate extra charge for a towel!

Best food we had on the whole West Highland Way! Authentic and original dishes from the chef-owner, who you can tell puts his passion into his food. A great range of local beers on offer and a great setting in a converted church.
